Was in Eastleigh yesterday (small town on outskirts of Southampton, where that former MP killed himself during an auto-erotic sex act with an orange in his gob).

Went to the Game Exchange there, and picked up MD Forgotten Worlds (?3), DC Street Fighter III 3rd Strike (Pal, ?6.95 - and in mint condition) and PSOne X-Men vs Street Fighter - no instructions, ?4.95. the first two are excellent, but XMvsSF really suprised me - considering how dire 2d beat 'em ups are normally on the PSOne, it is really pretty damn cool. Loading times suck a bit though.

Having already got SFIII 3rd Strike Jap, it is yet another case of use PAL-sters being fobbed off with shocking boxart.

I bought a few new things over this last week so first up is my new phone and can honestly say that my faith in Japanese mobiles is now restored I tested a few phones including some western ones such as the latest Nokia and Sony Erricson but they are pathetic compared to the Japanese ones. Not only are they a pain in the arse to use but their features are pretty low quality. I bought the latest Vodafone by Sharp. I'd call it a mobile entertainment center more than a phone though !! Here's a few of it's features.

Now I know what your thinking, "What has this got to do with Retro gaming?" Well, everything really because in Japan there are many Retro games from the Saturn and PSX coming to mobiles as well as some older classics and many ring tones from companies such as Sega, Konami, Taito, Namco and others. Taito's and Sega's are far he best though. The gam,es are also really cheap for it. They cost only 315yen !! That's under 2 pound. You have to download the games but once they're downloaded you can play them as many times as you like and when you're bored of it you can just copy it to a SD card for storage. A total of 5 or 6 games can be stored on the phone at once.

The above is the colour of the car I bought. haven't got it yet but will have in a week or two.

Got the car really cheap too because my wife works for Mitsubishi. The real price was 1'100'000 yen (Everything in) which is about 5'500 pounds but I got it for 780'000 yen (Everything in) which is about 3'900 pound Not bad at all.
