Finished the game yesterday "properly". Managed to get 198 point something or other percent - which I thought was a sterling effort. Great game - didn't want it to end. Straight into my top 10 games of all time, easily.

I started playing this sumptuous game through again. God the NTSC version is so much more enjoyable. Anyone ever notice that you end up dashing backwards through most of the game? I'm sure it wasn't meant to played this way, but you move alot quicker backwards, barring the wolf, which seems a little silly. Kinda reminds me of rolling through the whole of Ocarina of Time just to get the little bugger moving at a decent pace.

That's why I love the Saturn version, it has an extra item, the dash Stone, with that equipped you can double tap forward to make Alucard dash like Richter can .

Cool, I didn't know that. God only knows why it isn't in the Playstation version. I'm kind tired of always dashing backwards.

without a doubt Sotn is the best of the whole Castlevania series ! reading this makes me wanna play it all over again !

As its Halloween and I partied the other day I cracked this gem open again. My God I love the beginning when you start as Richter. Dracula is such a beast, it really sets the tone for an amazing adventure! Must try and remember how to get the fake Alucart stuff near the start Gonna be a long night.

Yeh I'd like to get hold of this one too, still after it, played a mate's copy a few years back and did the first half of the game but didn't progress much after that, got a bit distracted.
Given that I've got enough games to be getting on with and a shortage of money, I probably will never get it :-/
