I'm not really the biggest fan of the PSOne, but I've had a lot of fun with Bishi Bashi Special, Vib Ribbon, Parappa/Um Jammer Lammy and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.

Oh and get Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - it's such an awesome game. However, be warned that the PAL version is expensive and again has huge borders.

Does that apply to Vagrant Story as I have just picked up a PAL version.

It's close to 5 years since I played the PAL version of Vagrant Story so I can't remember if it has huge borders or not. However, seeing as it's a Squaresoft game chances are they're massive.

Incredible Crisis - insane Jap businessman-related minigames
Point Blank 1,2 + 3 - best lightgun games EVAR especially no 2 which has an RPG element to it!
Everybody's Golf 1 + 2 - teh best golf games available
Darkstalkers - The Night Warriors - quality conversion of 1994 Capcom fighter
Real Bout Fatal Fury - suprisingly excellent Neo port with some cracking music
Anna Kournikova Smash Court Tennis - excellent 4 player fun
R-Type Delta - magnificent shooter

Kurushi.

I found a copy of that in Gamestation Chesterfield yesterday, promptly went home and bought a copy of Kurushi Final... wonderful, wonderful game that I'd forgotten all about.

Top choice.

Although i own mostly nintendo stuff theres a lot of cool games for the ps that i think are amazing. Im slowly working through the list to get them all.

Some are music based but dont let that put you off.

I was never really into PSX, prefering the N64 and Saturn. But I did own one all the same and loved FF7 and Xenogears.

FF9 has some visual appeal but the story didn't engage me at all. There's also a decent conversion of Lunar the Silver Star (and it's sequel), but you have to put up with painful dubbing and lashings of cringe worthy Americanisms which have been shoe horned into the dialogue.
