did you know 'Sonys Pigs' is an anogram of Psygnosis?

this was gleefully pointed out to me by some sad employees while I worked in Q&A at the Liverpool studio, shortly after the buyout, but while still called Psygnosis.

And to think... there was a "widescreen box" of this!?! Art wang is well and truely activated!
A quick Google around shows that Psygnosis did, later on, use uber sci-fi artist Chris Foss and other UK talent. Not for original comissions but licensing old paintings for use as box artwork so I'd imagine it is his art on the Awesome box.

Let's hope I-8 will be a worthy "sequel".

Btw, are you sure Psygnosis developed the first Formula 1 for PSX? Wasn't it by Bizarre Creations? Or maybe it was developed by Bizarre and published by Psygnosis?
You're right Bizarre did make Formula 1 for PS1. I think they had a deal with Sony back then- in a way they were under the Sony umbrella.

Two Psygnosis games I think are great but everyone else hates are...

          Armour-Geddon
Basically they're trying to build Battlefield 2. Only in 1990,in full 3D, and on an Amiga.

You drive a tank or a helicopter or a plane, it has some sort of overhead strategic thing going on, it's way ahead of it's time. Sick awesome.

Think it mostly gets 6/10, but I don't care.

          And Rollcage
Just terrific, especially the Windows version which still works on XP I think. Drive on the walls, the ceiling. Lots of powerups and weird vehicles you can drive in any direction. It's kinda the bastard cousin of Wipeout.

Also gets bad reviews, and I also don't care.
