    1. Streets of Rage 2 - i've lost days playing this
    2. Super Mario World - so much fun it's almost illegal
    3. Super Empire Strikes Back - the Hoth/Snowspeeder level is amazing.
    4. Sega Rally Championship - the King of racing games
    5. Super Metroid - nearly 15 years on and still stupidly enjoyable.

Nice selection. You have the great multiplayer fighters, excellent platformer, sporty game, and a true arcade classic.

I've spent aaaages thinking about this. And i'm still not sure.

                      1. Street Fighter 2 Turbo/Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I can't really split between the two to be honest. I know I spent more time at home playing Turbo, but i'd hazard a guess and say i've spent more money on SSF2T than any other arcade ever.
                      2. Goldeneye (N64). Predictable, but here nonetheless. Too many wasted hours playing multiplayer until stupid o'clock.
                      3. Virtual Pro Wrestling 1+2 (N64). Again, i'm finding it hard to remember which I played more, but the hours I put into this were just incredible (probably because I payed close to ?70 for each of them). Amazing multiplayer fun and a much better game than the US versions (WCW vs nWo World Tour, WCW Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania, WWF No Mercy).
                      4. Snatcher (Mega CD). The game that made me feel like my Mega CD purchase had finally become justified. Not a hard game by any means, but a submersive experience like few games have provided me with since. I played through this over and over again, trying to find all the little extra things that were hidden away inside it. The translation patch for Policenaughts cannot come soon enough.
                      5. Sensible World of Soccer (Amiga). I don't think i've loved a football game as much since. The mere mention of it is making me want to dig out my Amiga. I did later discover after playing the console versions that going back to playing it on a stick was impossible, I just couldn't control the shots anymore.

...Skool Dayz/Bak 2 Skool almost made it, but not quite.

                      With honerable mentions to:
Aliens (C64, Electric Dreams version), Adventure (Atari 2600), Little Computer People (C64. Sad, I know), F-Zero X (N64), Street Fighter 3 (DC), Soul Caliber (DC) and Exile (C64)

DAMN YOU for making me choose just five.

                        1. Super Mario Kart (SNES)
                        2. Street Fighter 2 (Arcade)
                        3. Frontier: Elite 2 (Amiga)
                        4. Daytona USA (Arcade)
                        5. Tetris (Gameboy)

Honourable mention: Shenmue (DC). It's hard to tell exactly which games I've played the most, and getting all the Gotcha-Gotchas, hitting the jackpots in the fruities, and practising karate moves for hours on end sure took up a lot of my life. Then there was the arcade centre in Dobuita...

Naaah, it was the Zipstick that was black with yellow buttons. I preferred the Maverick (micro-switched version) myself.

Seeing that this thread has run its course, I've looked through everybody's votes and calculated the Top5 most played games of all time.

                            Here are the results:

GoldenEye won by a mile. Street Fighter 2 easily came second, and it was close between Super Mario Kart and Sensible Soccer. ZeldaIII came fifth.

Overall... a great selection of games. Thanks for voting.

                              1. Victory Boxing: Championship Edition (PS1) No one I know liked this at the time, but I still enjoy playing it now.
                              2. Sonic 2 (MD)
                              3. Wrestlemania 2000 (N64)
                              4. Italia 90(MD) Most people seem to think that this game was terrible, but as this was the first (and for years only) football game I ever owned, I spent ages playing it.
                              5. Command and Conquer (PS1 and PC versions)
