I played Dino Crisis for the first time ever today. Now I'm a huge Biohazard fan, and I really liked Dino Crisis 2, but this game is atrocious. I had to resort to an FAQ on a number of occasions because I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I got about halfway through, then deleted it. That was a right waste of 600?.

Back to Gokumakaimura Kai for me.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

      Ban request.

It's incredibly boring. There's hardly any action or puzzles. You just walk around finding keys and codes to open doors. It should be called Door Crisis, and be under the banner of Stay Awake Horror.

Playing through Shadows of the Empire on the N64 at the moment, have to admit Im enjoying it quite a bit even though it is a ****ty game. I really miss Star Wars games on Nintendo consoles and now that Factor 5 are no more and EA have their grubby mits on the licence its going to be a long long time before we see any more

Also playing through the event challenges in R Racing Evolution on the gamecube. I must have sunk at least 30-40 hours into this game already but am still only at 55% complete. I really love it though and is one of my favourite arcade racers, the story mode and pressure system are great and I'm surprised they haven't been implemented in more games. Its also the only racing game that I can think of that has swearing in it :P

Pacmania on the Master Sys and some Zx Spectrum Homebrew stuff

Kaido Racer - PS2. Finding it pretty hard to get going and it's starting to get a bit repetitive. Definitely prefer the Shutokou Battle method of driving around flashing your headlights at rivals.

Kaido Racer looks nice and plays well but it's just too stop start.

Suikoden Tactics on PS2. Not classic material in the Strategy RPG genre, but decent fun. I love the Suikoden series so that's a bonus too, even though it's based on Suikoden IV setting which is my least favourite.

                    Marvel Super Heroes on Saturn.

Finally got my console yesterday (will post pics later) and am loving the chunky sprite based violence.

                    The pad too...mmmmm!!

That port of Pacmania is excellent. I sank a lot of time into it when it was originally released. TekMagik really knew their way around the Master System.

Found the time to have a quick shot of Elevator Actions Returns on the Saturn, got to the last stage before I lost all my credits...I think I'll try and 1 credit to make it last longer. Forgot how awesome all the grenade throwing was!

Had the teeny tiny PSONE hooked up this evening went through a load of my games, spent quite a few hours playing 70's robot anime Geppy-X even after all these years is still awesome. Also enjoyed ore no ryouri & mr domino. Tried to play unjammer lammy but i can't get back into it i find the game a bit annoying nowdays. Parappa is still charming as ever though, suzuki bakuhatsu is another solid classic i love to go through i really wish they would make something again like that but nowdays it would probably be classed as a terrorism simulator or something lol.

Been playing Mega Man X4 on and off for a few weeks. Done all 8 stages with X so far (using save states to ease frustration). Might go back and try and get the missing upgrades before attempting the final stage. Really good game though.

Thunder Force 6 on the PS2 and it's actually pretty turd. I love the Thunder force series and Techno soft who made it but this Sega produced game is wank . It's a very lazy "best of" Thunder Force at best and even then it doesn't do that very well. There's nothing original in this game what so ever. Everything in it from the enemies to levels is from another Thunder Force game. If the game was well designed this wouldn't be a problem but there are so many cheap traps and lazy enemy paterns that it's not even funny. The music is also pretty poor. There's only a few good tunes and one of them was used on the Segagaga hidden Thunder Force inspired bonus games intro which I might add is a hell of a lot better than the crap intro used on Thunder Force 6.

Im really disappointed at how poor the final game is in such a great series. The sad part is that it's unlikely that a better Thunder Force will ever be made.
