Yep, go to the settings screen & turn the analogue sensitivity down a few notches.

I love Daytona USA but it's never controlled brilliantly, even in the Arcades.

Decided to tackle my famicom nemesis again and try to get through Mr Gimmick, it really is a masterpiece but so so hard i can't get past level 4 yet i keep trying. Even when the game is turned off i still keep humming that awesome soundtrack.

Wow, you own Gimmick on Famicom? Nice. It's pricey! How much did you pay for it? Do you still have all your vital organs?

I hadn't heard of it before and did some googling after I read your post - looks AWESOME.

I'm now thinking about picking it up from JP PSN..

I have to play gimmick via emulation as i'm too poor to go legit for that, unless you have a spare ?300+ the cart is well out of reach. One day i'd love to own the real thing, it's a technical masterpiece hence it's desirability. The physics are so advanced and that's one of the difficultys i have yet to master the star i always fall off at the wrong time or miss the damn thing or fall off the edge of something lol.

Wow, it looks like great fun. I'll try having a go this weekend.

Wishbringer. A nice inrroduction to text adventures for my 11 year old daughter. Having fun with it. The fact that the plastic wishbringer stone still glows after 30 years is pretty cool too!

Retro seems to be dying on here, chat about it at least.

I've recently completed Secret of Evermore. A game packed with some really good ideas and a fresh setting but mixed with the most bugs I can remember from a 16 bit game.

I've been playing Final Fight Guy on the SFC and it's only reminded me to play the arcade version more.

I can understand the limitations of the cartridge size at the time of release but it would have been ace if Capcom went back and made a more arcade accurate version later on with a bigger cartridge size. The SFC version of Final Fight, while not wholly a bad game, is just lacking in so many ways compared to the arcade version.

Mario 64 on Wii U. First replay after 19 years. Seems like controls is fine on GamePad.

DK64 on WiiU VC. First play since 1999. Still good.

Still grinding my way through MSR on the Dreamcast. Forgot how difficult it got nearer the end, particularly if you're in an underpowered car. I also must have one of the early pressings, as there's plenty of bugs in there! Although as it's my original copy from back in the day, I'm fairly certain I sent it off to Sega for a replacement. Perhaps they missed plenty of other bugs!

I've been playing Racing Lagoon this past week and it's another japanese exclusive that is excellent.
It's a racing RPG that even features a world map and random style encounters. Also has beautiful visuals and plays really nicely.
