Moved on to Sonic 3 last night, I remember waiting with baited breath for it and reading every scrap of magazine I could find about it back in the day, absolutely couldn't wait for it to come out! Still a great game, really enjoyed playing through it! Sonic and Knuckles will be next =)

Although I've been on some of my other regulars too I've still been playing PS2 Trapt (Kagero II: Dark Illusions) for the last 3 weeks (yikes). Finally had my fill after unlocking everything but I found the core gameplay quite addictive. There's something very satisfying about killing an enemy using a long series of carefully placed and set off traps rather than having to whop them with a large sword or axe.
You certainly cannot fault the wonderfully creative trap designs, believable, superbly imagined physics and the well thought out player interface. This main concept IMHO deserves further exploration and less limited applications in a better game methinks. It would be far more interesting than the usual magic type attacks you get in RPGs such as Morrowind or Oblivion.Last edited by fallenangle; 27-02-2010, 13:16.

Just started playing Snatcher on the Mega CD. I've got to the end of act 1 and I'm really enjoying it. It feels so fresh and original despite being so old. Sadly though I'm having to play it with just the standard pad and not the light gun despite owning Lethal Enforcers and the Justifier Gun. The gun is just so inaccurate it's not worth using.
Has anyone else had this problem with the game or have I just bought a dodgy gun?

Just been working through this thread looking for some good Saturn games, but really cool to arrive at the latest page and discover people talking about P.N.03. Lovely game - think I've described it as a three dimensional r-type before.
Mikami's new game - Vanquish - has been described by the man himself as sharing a few pertinent gameplay components with P.N.03. A future retro folder classic!

Myself, been playing Batman Begins on the PS2, been kind of wanting to see how it plays compared to Arkham Asylum. Quite liking it, actually, it leads you by the hand and won't take long to finish, but it's quite fun to play and some of the graphics look pretty damn nice, occasionally stunning, and the Bats in this - being based on the Christian Bale version - seems MUCH more angry than the Bats in Arkham Asylum.
Obviously, due to its linear nature and much less spectacular graphics, it's not in the same league as AA, but it seems to offer up a really nice representation of the film (and I only paid ?1.99 for it, so can't dis it too much). Anyway, I like it, it's kept me entertained for the last couple of hours.

Just finished Snatcher on the Mega CD. What an awesome game.
The atmosphere generated by a few lines of text, simple animations and what appears to be midi music is astounding. Some of the images are incredibly well drawn and I found myself playing just to see the next one. Truly engrossing story too (shame about the slightly cheesy ending)
Great game though and (Policenauts aside) truly unique.
