Instagram is cool and popular? Personally I'm just a Hipster so I like old Bicycles and 80s music and apps that ruin photos but I guarantee more people look at Instagram pictures taken randomly by 14 year olds going about their day than your pictures on Flickr you drove 200 miles to take with your ?2,000 SLR setup. (not having a go at you or saying that is you haha just saying that effort/talent doesn't equal reward in the iOS age?).

I originally downloaded the free trial on Xbox Live while I waited for SSF4:AE to come through the post having never tried the franchise but having spent some time with both games now I actually think 3rd Strike is the better game? The characters are better in 3rd Strike, the Arenas are more interesting, better designed and more grown-up. I'd really love Street Fighter 5 to embrace this style as opposed to the more action-movie-ish SSF4 (which seems to be a continuation of SSF2?).

I was just suggesting trying out the previous NES games (citing the best two in the series) to see if the new ones were up your street, to use a phrase. No point buying a game and then finding you don't like that type of game, when you can check out similar ones for free beforehand. I certainly enjoyed both Megaman 9 and 10, but then again, I like slightly sadistic games that make you swear, and the Megaman platform franchise in general.Lie with passion and be forever damned...

It was sound advice, I would download an emulator and find Mega Man 2 as you say but Xbox Live has free trials of every game (or at least that I've seen) and it's just so easy to play 9 or 10 on there. Plus I do like a challenge and I love 8-Bit aesthetics so I'm sure I will get into it (probably Mega Man 9) as soon as I finish some of the other stuff in my pile.
Edit: Played the trial, it's beautiful but jesus coming from modern games nothing can prepare you for how hard it is! There's no real penalty for dying in the last platformers I played (Braid, Limbo, Rayman Origins) but I've been dumped to the title screen 5 times already just trying to get to "Concrete Man"Last edited by Pikate; 09-01-2013, 21:10.

Finished off the first Suikoden, thought it was great, a bit ashamed that i'd never played this or it's sequel before now (going to have to stump up the cash for Suikoden 2 now though)
Now playing Zelda Oracle Of Seasons for the very first time, i haven't played this or Ages before but managed to snag cart only copies of both along with the guide for a very decent price the other week.
I love 2d Zelda so i'm excited to finally play through both
