Thanks for sorting my post out . To be fair I thought that was how I needed to do it (having looked at the you tube part from post when I quoted it) but how would I quote you and still do the "go advanced" bit or should I maybe just copy your txt into my "go advanced" reply (jeeeez I hope that all makes sense and sorry for being a mile O.T!).

Mashed Fully Loaded def works perfectly on a pal 360 as I play it quite a lot. shame its only 2 player...need a live arcade 4 player sequel imo

Had it for ps2 originally and was one of my most played games!!

Keep an eye out for Gas! It's from Supersonic who made Mashed and are trying their hardest to make it as fun as Mashed:
We?re going to have the whole team spend the whole of Monday doing nothing but play the game. I?m always banging on about how important this is. It comes very naturally when the game is fun and playable, but it?s sometimes too easy to get caught up in the day to day stuff of coding and making art, etc.

We?ll start by having an hour or two of simply playing and having fun, after all that?s where the core of this game is. We like to think that our game has soul unlike a lot of other racing games out there. If you?re not smiling playing this game, then we?ve done something wrong! After that we?ll play it with a bit more of a critical eye ? always on the look out for possible improvements.

We?re also going to take some time out to play some Mashed sessions. We get loads of fan mail saying how loved that game is and how much people want us to be inspired by it for our new game. Obviously we?re pretty familiar with Mashed but comparing the two games head to head will be really fun. We?re going to make sure GAS is everything Mashed was and a whole lot more!

At the moment, I'm playing Pocket Racing Lite on my Android phone and it's pretty good! Some nice drifting on the faster cars.

I'd love it for to appear on xbla. There is local 4 player on ps2 and xbox though. Hours of fun to be had if you can find enough people.

One of my favourite genres but I would actually divide this fantastic genre into further sub-genres:

Isometric. World Rally is the best in my opinion. Neo Drift Out, one of the worst-spoiled by bad controls and boring gameplay.

Single Screen. Super Sprint, Championship Sprint, Motoroader MC and Battle Cross are all good examples.

Shooting. The weakest of the sub-genres. Spy Hunter, Battle Formula and Battle Mobile have never been my cuppa tea.

Scrolling. F-1 Dream. The best example in this sub-genre by far. Used to be able to complete it with one credit, not now though, very difficult game later on. Amazed there is no You Tube video for it. Will upload one soon I think after I dig out my beloved PCB. The PCE version also combines the arcade gameplay with story elements and is very close overall. Thrash Rally is a nice little game also, if a bit easy/short. The CD version is quite different. Hot Rod was a fantastic coin-op in 4P back in the day.

Rotation. Super Drift Out is the worst example I have played.

However, Chequered Flag by Konami is simple stunning. Mind-blowing visuals at the time coupled with superb gameplay. An obscure/rare game which is a shame as in fact it is the best game mentioned in this entire thread by a mile (pun intended). Was addicted to it one summer. Best played with a good steering wheel in a converted Spy Hunter or Road Blasters cockpit cabinet. Never seen this game in Japan ever.

As promised, Capcom's F-1 Dream PCB now has a You Tube video courtesy of myself.

                Enjoy.

                Cheers.

Wow not a single mention of the double classic package of games released by mindscape, 4 player brilliance(only reason other than poypoy, firepro and NJPW to own a multitap)

                  Supersonic Racers

                  Circuit Breakers -

4 player local? never knew that!! suppose I never tried after assuming the ps2 version had only 2 player due to 2 pad ports.

one to try next time the lads are over I think...
