Even the 32X has some decent games. Not enough to justify the launch price of the console and the jumbling mess of wires and cables, but it arguably still has the most authentic ports of Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter, it had the best port of Space Harrier and After Burner 2 at the time, and even Doom was decent enough.
Not that I'm pretending the 32X itself us any good, though!

The other plus is the fact that the 32x acts as a bridge adaptor for Japanese Mega Drive games, so no need to alter the cartridge slot.
That said there is some real **** on it too.

Also the Goemon boardgame (Goemon mononoke sugoroku) is a pretty fun one too, love playing that one only missing 3 cards from my set, still have to try win those.

If you can't do the language then fair enough, some parts are tricky so it makes sense to get one you can understand. Personally for me i'd rather not have the butchered versions, i still remember the horror of buying the first one on snes & seeing how much of a mess they had made of it when they released it over here.

The SFC version must be amazing, Legend of Mystical Ninja as the PAL Version is one of my all time fave games.
Although Goemon 2 is bloody magnificent. I need to still play 3 & 4 although I remember reading or being told a faq is needed for 3, where as 4 is more like 2. I'm going to have tea, then soak up some mystical ninja atmosphere as I find it very special

Might have too get be a Japanese copy then importaku as I only have a 50hz PAL copy of the second N64 one.
Yeah the SNES release of LOMN is a mess due to the horrible translation Kid Ying and Dr Yang for the character names.
Goemon 2 on the SNES is the best game in the series with all it's extra routes and the impact battle. Finished Goemon 3 earlier in the year, it's great but a odd Zelda / Castlevania clone (Yes I'm aware it was release before SOTN) I still haven't done the true ending for it, if gamefaqs is corrected missed two cats, you don't need a FAQ but there are a few sticking points. Goemon 4 isn't bad but it's missing the cool boss battles and impact fights from the previous two games.

The second SFC Goemon is probably the best game of them all, the gourmet castle is still my favourite Goemon level ever. If only the ones that actually made it to the west had been translated properly. Instead of the half assed job Konami did, even more insulting is the fact that they also had 5 Goemon games on the gameboy & the one they decided to localize was the ****test one of them all. They later rectified that by releasing the awesome 1st one in the konami gb collection vol 3.
Yup having to endure rubbish naming like kid ying & dr yang was horrible as was the fact that poor westerners couldn't possibly cope with the concept of japanese food in a japanese game so they changed the food to pizza slices, yup edo was always full of pizza back then. Also the strip shows were removed from the later towns & the farting dance show was removed as well. Back then i was too poor to afford the imports so i had to make do with the uk version.
I really despise heavy handed derp localisation. Nowdays it's improved but every so often i see it rear it's ugly head.Last edited by importaku; 19-03-2014, 18:00.

Did you play any of the PSOne games, as I've heard a couple are half decent.
I see you PM'ed me ShadowDancer as well, so I guessing your quite keen to get a copy but again NO sorry.

Played pretty much every goemon game except the mobile phone ones as those are impossible to get outside of japan, the playstation ones are really not worth picking up they are all pretty poor compared to the SFC/N64 goemon games. The new age goemon game on GBA is terrible too no idea what they were thinking when they made that piece of ****.
All of the ones released on nintendo hardware are pretty good, a few of the gameboy RPG ones might not be to everyones taste but i liked them. The only ones on nintendo consoles never to ever eeever buy are.....
Ganbare Goemon: Kurofune Tou no Nazo (gb)
Goemon: New Age Shutsudou! (gba)
(shudder)
