DAYTOOOOOOOOOOOOOONA! Slowly rebuilding my collection up with games I actually play for hours upon end.
Despite some negativity towards this (and loads of positive) I love the DC Version.
I know it can feel twitchy, but, once you grasp that, its a beautiful arcade racer. I think so anyway!

Oh man, very jealous! Would totally love a go on that. The PS2 Bemani stuff is some of my favourite gaming.

Needs to be played with the wheel. I remember reading an interview saying it was designed with wheel in mind which is why it's so twitchy with the pad.

I found it twitchy with the wheel too IIRC.

I'll try that, thanks teddy Its just nice to play a racing game that isn't all HD & Shiny!
I think the depth of Daytona is perfect for me. Wheel change, colour, manual or automatic! lol.
Joking aside, I bought PGR3 On Release with the 360, and loved it dearly, but, I have more desire to play dreamcast arcade stuff

The XBLA Daytona is really nice, do you have that?

                  sorry about the delay :-)

it was around a tenner, but the frame rate issues kill it unfortunately which is a shame, its all over the place, also the resolution is off too so all the games look a bit wrong. It is a well made clone, the shoulder buttons are much better than the official gbasp, but the d pad is crap beyond belief on it, it impossible to get a diagonal.

Looks like there is a better version of this called the gamebox advance too, has a micro sd slot in the case to load roms off.

Would be nice to have a collection of all GBA games on one machine, how bad are the framerate issues? Could you put up a video mate?

Got a Roland MT-32 for around ?35 which was bargainous, using with dosbox and a USB-midi adaptor for now unless I actually dip in to pure dos gaming.

To be fair the MT-32 emulation is really nice these days but who can resist new kit with lights that flash.

Now you just need a Sharp X68000 and..

Awesome get, I wouldn't say no to ?35!

Also on PSN for PS3, best home port of Daytona USA in my eyes, although the DC version looks better & has some great new courses. Mermaid Lake.

No posts in this thread for over a week?! It's my civil duty to post some new wears

                            Picked up the following yesterday.

Tatsujin, Moonwalker and Star Cruiser for the Mega Drive
                            Berserk for the Dreamcast
Super R-Type for the Super Famicom

Moonwalker is great fun! Is R-Type any good?

                              Comment

Yep, Moonwalker is pretty good. Ever since Jackson died the price of Moon Walker in Japan has been very high. I was lucky to get this mint one for under 4000 yen. Normally it would cost twice that for a mini copy. Best thing about the Japanese version is that it has Thriller on it when you do your magic in the graveyard.

R-Type is good but so difficult and it is quite slow. R-TYPE III is much better.
