Cover artwork on that Street Fighter 3 game looks like original artwork. Haven't seen it any of the Capcom design books but yeah, how does it play? Is it Street Fighter II CE with the Super characters ripped in or something?

The artwork on the street fighter lll 18 character cart is indeed very good. To good to be original but you never know. The game will be featured in the next Retro Core. All will be revealed

Similarly, i got a couple of new books today. The All about SNK Fighting games 1991 - 2000 one is great, i have the Capcom one and these books give so much detail about every game that its a shame they haven't been published in English! Capcom Design Works Early Days is one of the rarer books and while a lot of the Street Fighter artwork is available elsewhere, its great to see some of the early Final Fight and Strider etc. artwork!

Nice books. I have the All About books and the regular Capcom Design Works one but never even knew of the existence of the Early Days one. Did it cost you much?

I knew that artwork as soon as I saw it! It's by Udon, the guys responsible for the AMAZING anime-like comics series (who also worked on HD REMIX if I'm not mistaken..)

Well the street fighter font used is the same as the box art which is basically the on the comics... the art however.. I HAVE seen it somewhere.. perhaps dvd cover from the sf alpha anime?
