I've never got in to shooters because I'd only played a handful, but I bought Psyvariar after seeing it mentioned somewhere round here a couple of weeks ago and loved it instantly. So I bought a couple more shooters. The three of them came to ?10.23 in total! Tried out Steel Dragon when it arrived yesterday and I'm mighty impressed. Just found R-Type waiting for me when I got home from uni so I'll be playing it later

Oh, and I just bought the pad from the retro shop in town. It's bloody massive compared to the 6 button pad that came with my Thai MD, didn't realise until it was on the counter in front of me

      Nice

What's the PGM like, do you think it's worth the money? I've been toying with the idea of getting one for ages but never really looked into it enough. Is there a big selection of games?

PGM isn't worth it IMO. It's just loads of Knights of Valour games, and Demon Front isn't anywhere near as good as Metal Slug.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

How does Steel Dragon sound in your PS2? When I played it on my PAL unit it made it sound like the drive was about to keel over and die, yet every other game sounded fine.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Psyvariar makes a bit of a racket too though, so I think it might just be CD games

So after months & months of "Should I buy a PC-E or what about a Famicom or fix up my NES??" I decided I should just STFU & actually buy some games for a console I already own.

And so it's begun an obsession again with the SNES

I'm only buying cheapy games & mostly stuff that the missus can enjoy as well...so plenty of platformers

I'm trying to get Famicom versions as the boxes just look nicer & also going for boxed versions I understand Cart only is cheaper but I just hate looking at a row of carts.

I have a list growing of titles to pick up & there are the obvious one's on there but I'm not paying the prices they seem to be going for so I'll keep looking hoping to get a bargain if I can find them but until then I'll be happy with what I can get.

So here's the first 3 arrivals...none are mint & all in gamers condition but I'm pleased with them & they were plenty cheap enough & that's what matters along with the fun factor of course

More on the way as well

Batman Returns has to be one of my favourite SFC games ever.

                  Is correct.

Batman Returns, ace! Keep missing it on Ebay.

I have no idea what that game is but even I know Disney x Capcom Games for Super Famicom are never a bad choice.

                      It's Mickey's Magical Quest and it's ace.

Lol it was my first hunt as soon as I decided I was buying some SNES stuff & that copy cost me ?8 delivered from an Ebay win
It's not the best box is a bit tatty & the manual is missing the front page but for for the price I wasn't too upset

Nakamura is right & I'm now waiting on 2 arriving & I'm trying to find 3 for a reasonable price but that seems to be teh RaR3Z!!!11!! & commands reasonable money.

I love the Capcom Disney platformers so I'm aiming for a complete collection if I can

I never played the second game. Completed the first one a few months ago. Selphie sat gripped from start to finish. Very easy though.

I've only ever dabbled with the first as well...I actually wasn't aware of a 2nd or even a 3rd until I started looking recently

Still need to source a Scart Cable though before I can start playing anything oh & decide whether I want to use my modded PAL console or my US one lol

I think the PGM is a good system and its software complements the Neo Geo's library quite well.

If you're into side scrolling beat 'em ups then you'll be well away, especially if you like them 4 player. It's also nice to have a run n' gun that isn't Metal Slug... Demon Front really is a good game. There's a couple of vs. fighting games too, Martial Masters is awesome. If you have the ability to rotate your screen DoDonPachi 2: Bee Storm is apparently quite good, despite what people say, although I've never played it. And if puzzle games are your thing there's a few of those too.

It doesn't have a huge amount of games but if you fancy trying something a little different it's well worth it.
