Plan to install a THS7314 based amplifier for the RGB signal, install a normal power jack for machines of the period and pair it with an sd2snes. Probably pick up a mint condition pad down the line too. Nice to be able to purchase one for a fair price without worrying about customs, so thanks!
Already looks better in your place than mine - good luck with the mods

Bundle of PC Engine titles arrived today...

Pretty pleased with the bunch, manuals are a little dog eared & a couple of the cases are cracked but generally not bad at all.

That is excellent tokyochojin. I haven't seen official replacement DC shells before.

Yeah, official; there are quite a few different varities actually. I've owned all the varieties other than the crystal yellow variation. Check out my feature - http://www.dcgaga.com/2014/10/dreamc...ment-lids.html

Original case perished in transit which kinda sucks, the disc retention at least. Replaced the old grey tray with a clear one, looks alright I guess.

It's great fun I really like the weapon grabbing mechanic it has and the way you can swap out weapon positions, makes for really unique interesting stages and boss fights. its a game I've owned and always regretted selling as it was one of the games that reminds me of my time at Sony Leeds. Spending an afternoon playing it on a blue debug machine. As i got to the final stages a 17 year old me had a crowd of dev's all stood round watching me take down the final boss, Good times Lol.

I've still got a sealed copy of the US version on my shelf here that I bought for about $30, probably worth a reasonable amount now.

Good reminder to check out your blog again, I always enjoy your articles on the DC.

My DC is sort of yellow but it's the passage of time rather than a different shell, sadly...

Haha, nice story. I've heard a ton of praise, especially considering the fact that it was their first go and developing a shmup. Probably going to find a proper replacement case eventually, but my Resident Evil 3 and Final Fantasy IX are in replacement cases right now too so what can you do?

Einhander is an amazing shooter; the graphics, sound, and gameplay are fantastic - pretty tricky game though and finding the secrets and hidden weapons is fun.
