Otherwise there would have been another Plebgate scandal.

Bang on though, wonderful plots and characters. III is also a really good game but not on the level of I-II. IV is average and V is meant to be better but not played that yet.

I would rate V above III. You can see faint sparks of soul from Suikoden I/II but IMO it is only slightly better then III.

I've never played Suikoden but fully intend too. I'd have been ULTRA pissed off if that spoiler showed!!

Yeah I have it and I found it rather mind numbing. Unbelievably boring and slow to play.

The games listed in here all look ace and were just what I was looking for. It's going to take smegging ages to get through all of them.

Starting off with the first Grandia on PSX.

I honestly believe Grandia was a complete fluke as ever other Game Arts RPG swam in mediocrity. I also thought Noriyuki Iwadare never did another decent soundtrack either.

Then allow us to be grateful for these freak occurrences, especially as I thought the 2nd one was oh so good.

Can't believe noone has mentioned Shadow Hearts or its sequel Shadow Heart Covenant.

Epic RPGs with genuinely different battle mechanics and a great cast of characters in a brilliant WW1/2 setting. Just the right amount I humour too, which many RPGs get wrong.

That's because I thought they were rubbish. The battle systems were excellent but they featured some of the most heinous scripts and characters in RPG history.

I will never forget that hideous old lady story from the first game. Pity as I loved the setting. The humour just didn't work at all.

Paper Mario 64 is amazing. Great battle system too. 10/10 for me.

Yeah there are some great Mario rpg's. Superstar Saga and Legend of the Seven Stars are really good.

I'm currently playing Earthbound and Ys Chronicles myself.
