Retron 5, worth it?

Just one more thing. Has it got one one of them easily-broken Speccy style power sockets on it?

You can use save states like all emulators but there does seem to be an almost random issue of cart saves wiping.

No idea regarding the power socket.

I've played both the Ouya and Retron and much prefer the Retron but the Ouya does a job too. I don't get this need to pit them against each other.

Fundamentally yes. But there are differences. The same as preferring physical over digital.

I love the retron 5 , but one issue I have is a slight lag on Mario all stars, all other games work fine. maybe an emulation issue ?

Hmm so it takes physical carts but then randomly wipes your saves. Doesn't sound great.

Indeed but if you are using a retron the chances are you don't have original hardware anyway.
It's far from perfect but the emulation is generally excellent and so is the image quality. It's clearly aimed at a certain person.

What i like is that i can play my carts on my flash telly , and they look good, also its region free which is great, what i dont like is the controllers, and i have to play with wires across my living room with Snes controllers. but thats it, i find the games look great on it.
