It's a genuine weird thrill when you stumble across something that you know is an actual bargain, all too rare an experience these days. Though at the same time I'm thinking "Thank God, haggling isn't a thing over here"

Google Lens and the widespread use of being able to find prices on your phone killed most real bargains, so I’m still in slight disbelief as it’s the biggest total price difference on a game I’ve ever had.

Haggling is a pain, though depending on what you buy and where, it isn’t always part of the process.

Latest nippon arrivals, crease how the stick came in a set with the Japanese ps2 like some mutation tower. Turns out the system is a SCPH-10000 launch console, tho not so good for my free mcboot needs. Did they ever use the PC card slot for anything? Maybe the external HDD?

speedlolita I expect you can answer Baseley09’s question?

They did indeed. There is an external HDD caddy (SCPH-10390) that connects via the PCMCIA port.

Wearing one for your birthday seems appropriate. 🤣

Wow, they're massive. Who was doing that special edition?

Mine came with a little keyring. Happy with it all, but that case takes some opening - was going to go down the fire station and ask to borrow the jaws of life.

Yeah the case feels like your going to break it when you try to open it!

A keyring? Wow, seems there's a few different versions going around. So, a CD single from Amazon Japan, badges and a keyring from other sellers. Where did yours come from?

Mine was the AmiAmi one, I wasn't too bothered about the pre-order bonuses so I went with whoever did the cheapest shipping. It's just a little printed acrylic thing in hard plastic, nice enough I guess. There's a page with it all but here's all the types, they've made it so things are often unique so if some dweeb really wanted to own every P-47 II related item they'd need to buy it 8 times.

Asakusa Mach: Acrylic Stand (cover art without logos)
AmiAmi: Acrylic Key Chain (Akagi-2 with AmiAmi logo)

Yeah mine was from Clarice shipped via Buyee. That's intersting thanks for the list.

Gotta say I'm really pleased with the gamthetouch easy but guess that leads to the enjoyment factor, nice OST too.

Wow, that's a lot of special editions. Makes me wonder why they went for so much effort, especially adding stores such as Ebiten, Clarice Shop, Asakusa March and Game Shop 1983. I've lived here for 27 years and have never heard of any of those places. Guess they're all up in Tokyo.
