I don't think I will be using a CRT unfortunately. It would be great to have space for one. Maybe in the future....
Then you can just get an analog I/O board if you end up with a CRT in the future. The filters are so good you might not even miss one, tbh.

Yeah, it's a meh update for the Pocket. Annoying.

Not Pocket related but close enough.

Limber up yr F5 fingers folks!

This one isn't for me, but godspeed to those trying to preorder one on Friday.

          EDIT:

Just reviewing the product page for the Duo on the Analogue site and I really like that it has both Bluetooth and 2.4g built right in. That's really nifty. 2.4g in particular.

This is stressing me out. Do Analogue typically take money at point of pre order?

2.4g is indeed a great touch, although I’m unsure how you’d pair the 8bitdo controllers as they only work with their respective USB dongle(?).

Not a bad price if you’re an enthusiast/collector who wants to retire your hardware. I do miss my PCE but not €250 enough (plus whatever for the DAC so I can display it properly).

Yeah, you gotta pay em up front 100% and deal with any delays later.

TBH I don’t see this one flying off the shelves.

Thanks, certainly niche but yeah as above a long term preservative system for my physical collection is appealing. My CD system has never not loaded but one day it will pop.

Buy two and flip one, you'll pay for the one you keep.

I was able to pair my SN30 with the Pocket Dock. They work very closely with 8BitDo and even have Pocket Dock specific firmware available, which I'm sure will work the same way.

Analogue seem to work pretty closely with 8BitDo so I would assume (and it is just an assumption) that it's been specially configured to connect to the relevant 8BitDo pads without dongles.

@Baseley09 yeah like Dave says you pay up front, including shipping (which is usually at least $60). Tax is not included so you pay that on delivery, old school (and no they don't mark down ). Expect them to take fupping ages to deliver it as well. Like probably a year. Their gear is great when you finally get your hands on it though.

…and as such this may see fewer production runs, especially compared to the Super NT/Pocket.

I do note that they put 'Limited quantities' on that announcement tweet above. That's distinct from the Pocket where the ability to order is kept open indefinitely and they get to them when they get to them but there's not a definite limit on the number of machines.

It was the same way for the Pocket with the first few rounds of pre-orders.

That's true, but I feel like the Pocket is a product that they'll keep making more of in a way that they might not with this. IDK. Maybe completely wrong.

What will be really interesting is if this supports OpenFPGA.

                                On the product page:

Duo features Analogue OS, but does not support openFPGA.
