Very disappointed that as much as they rip into Fifth gear, they pretty much stole the entire format of the R8 section, even down to the head to head with the 911, from them.

The amphibious car was funny stuff though.

R8 does look great, very low, mean and wide, love the headlights.

I'd hardly say they stole the r8 bit, they just compared it to its only competitor. Love the r8. I need one.

Channel crossing bit was good especially with the coast guard.

The BBC never, ever miss a chance to cancel TG, despite it being BBC2's highest rated show. It's usually snooker but could be just about anything else from the BBC's range of top tier sporting spectaculars.

Thats balls! They have 2 channels, caneel the **** on the other channel and put Top Gear on!

The amount of drivel thats on TV these days and one of the only things I actually watch and enjoy gets delayed for rubbish!

Sure audiences down under are so poor it would have been canned years ago if it wasn't for the UK viewers - and BBC money that keeps it afloat.

Going off topic now, but BBC have stopped paying for it, and it's going across to Five...

True, I was really talking past-tense, sure I read ages ago only about a million people watched in Aus. Now lay off until I've had breakfast

Anyway, watched last weeks Fifth Gear over the weekend, great seeing the General Lee & Ford Torini shoot out. Both cars weighing over two tonne and the General Lee had a whopping 7.2 litre engine. Needless to say both wouldn't go round corners and the brakes were crap. Timesless classics though.

Small van drifitng was good, unless that Tom bloke crashed showing off.

I saw that ep too. Pretty nasty crash. "I've broken my leg" he shouted when it was 'just' every bone in his foot. Can't really blame him, stupid thing to do though. They were pretty irresponsible to do a relatively dangerous activity in such weedy vehicles in an environment that had solid walls so close, asking for trouble.

Also, what on earth was Jason 'Potato' Plato thinking driving in a development sportscar at 150mph+ with no race overalls? Any incident in a dev car surely could result in fire. He'd have been absolutely fine had he had his race suit on when that happened instead of burnt and crispy and risking his BTCC title (which he then went on to loose).
