Just watched last weeks ep there, it was supreme! Really shaping up to be a killer end to season 3 hopefully.

Juliette had turned good now until the end sequence where we see her talking to Ben. That sly fox!

* Maybe she is just playing the game along with Ben so she keeps his trust, and she wants to do some good for Jack. Then again, maybe not but now that we know more about Julliete, it's not really in her personality to be such a bad person. Finally again a really good episode, things were becoming...well...a bit boring actually...I never thought I would ever say that about Lost*

I'm stunned you can say that. Aside from the filler Nicky and Paulo episode Lost has been on great form recently. If you have been finding it boring, then the problem lies with you, not the show.

Ooh, I wouldn't necessarily say that. After the decent opening six eps, there really was a lull until the last couple of eps. Quite a few fans have felt the dip in quality.

Season 3 has been top quality throughout, even the Nikki Paulo episode IMO. All I have to do is cast back to the "WE SPEND 45 MINUTES MILKING THE IDEA OF CHRISTENING A BABY" episode from season 2 and i'm happy

I felt there was a definite perigee in quality between episode 6 and 15-16, apart from the decent Dezzer ep and Locke's spine-snapping (and, tbh, that was a bit disappointing because, duh-nuh-nuh, how many times do they have to use the dad plot mechanic to show us what a sucker he is/was?).

The viewing figures in the States would seem to reflect this - some have been alarmingly dismal. And Ben pulling Locke's dad out of the magic box was just lame.

I've been enjoying S3 on the whole, but am still finding it a very frustrating show to watch, as is my wife who has been playing catch-up with it.

My main criticisms are probably still the same as from S1 and S2, so maybe I just have to get over them and accept that's how its going to be. But, to summarise....

- Many of the flashbacks seem pointless in the extreme and we learn nothing new about the characters or their character traits which we didn't already know.

- We have to believe that on numerous occasions, characters then go against their, on the whole, intelligent nature and ignore opportunities to ask the questions that we're all wanting to ask. Its this thing about having to suspend your disbelief one moment which I don't have a problem with, but then the next you're expected to take things very much at face value.

- Major plot bombshells are dropped on us one week and then seemingly parked up the next week and are either shelved or just referred to occasionally in the following weeks before disappearing.

The acid test was whether my wife would voice the same concerns as she's not been around from the start and she's been getting very annoyed with it. But at the same time, still watching, so obviously the writers have got the formula right.

My wife gave up on Lost midway through Season two, yet I'm enjoying it more than ever. Not thought of it before but suppose the show is aimed more at a orientated audience (conspiracy theories etc etc)

Just finished watching the new episode s3 e17, was a bit of a filler imo, but worked very well,

was another desmond episode, going over his past etc... started very well with a great vision, then ended very well with a great twist!!

Need to see the new episodes and now!! lol, series is getting better.
