You mean the smoke monster? They seem to have forgotten all about that, just as they have the numbers.

I do wonder if they're actually going to be able to tie everything up in a way that makes some kind of sense in Lost. Seems to me they tend to come up with some cool sounding idea and put it in the show, but then seem to get a little lost when it comes to actually following through and explaining it.

Has there been any word on whether the show is going to run and run or if there's a planned story arc which will take 3 or 4 seasons to complete? I know they said they had enough ideas for 7 seasons or so, but I can't see how that would be possibls in terms of holding viewers attention.

That's very true but, in a way, it's hard to blame them. I mean, honestly, was there any possible way they could explain the monster without it being disappointing? Even before it was a smoke thing (which made it even trickier), it was a very difficult premise to deliver on. Same with many other elements. But I guess that's down to exactly what you're saying - they put these things in before they ever have a reason for their existence.

Also theyre investigating the crash site to "help" find survivors so im guessing this means they would be given access to personal information about all the passengers

Excellent episode.

Have read up on 'The Island' there are references in that to children (notice how they were not any in the compound?) have taught 'powers' of thought projection. What did they get from Walt? The ability to 'read' minds?

The others didn't seem to be expecting the plane, didn't know in advance who they were. Their information was picked up later, so they must have some net access.

Wonder what the Stephen King book was in the book club that Ben wouldn't like?

The intorrogation room is an aquarium for ..... sharks. The zoo cage is for ..... bears. A few things tying together there.

With Ben being the leader I assumed he was the one that was previosuly referred to as 'him'. But over at lostpedia.com they havent made that connection so I suppose I was wrong thinking that and 'him' is someone much higher up than Ben.

i'm sure i saw an interview with one of the writers who said "we have enough material for 11 series"

let's face it though, it's mostly filler anyway... not much seems to happen or is explained which just makes me less likely to watch it for weeks on end as i learn nothing new.

i'll just watch select episodes of it. it's pretty ****ing boring to me now, and i absolutely adored the first few episodes.

I thought the opener was pretty cool, however... I really think they whoosed out in the end.

I wish they'd have had the guts to write Jacks characters 'final decision' a different way.

ie instead of giving in to the womens demand to sit in the corner he did exactly what he did the first time, rushed her again! I mean come on, wasn't that what we were all thinking!? Isn't that exactly what we'd all of done!? When Jack disobeyed her the first time I had a broad smile across my face. At last some believable character reactions. The end ruined it for me though.

I don't know if that book is Carrie or not, the one the woman is holding when Ben says "So I am guess I am outta the book club" looks different. I am still not 100% sure what he meant by that. From the look on his face, and hers infact, and it seemed like she wasn't very happy with what was about to happen..

Ah actually, the guy who slates it definetly has Carrie, I guess the others (hee hee) have different revisions of the book.
