Jack (incl. beard so future time) said to the new doctor something like: Let's ask my father. Why do I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of Jack's father?
One thing that was a very important thing in season 2 and which was never really explained are the numbers. 4-8-15-16-23-42 or whatever it was...also, the hatch blowing up and having to push the buttons all the time. Why did they never really explained it anymore?

The number thing bugs me too. They were such a big thing in Season 1 and bit of 2, but its been since ignored. Presumably it will come back soon though - there is no way they're getting off the island just yet
As for the button pressing, I guess that story is now over. They stopped pressing the button, and turned the thingy off with the key (over ride), so now they don't have to bother with it..

Jack says
"why don't you go check my dad, and if he's not more drunk than I am, you can fire me"
That line confuses meI thought he was dead/on the island

You lot just ain't paying attention
The numbers
were explained in the AR they ran last year - they're related to a formula which tells you when the world will end.
The coffin is surely
Ben or Locke
I predict next season will start
with the boat arriving and a massive cull of most of the current cast
at which point
Jack will realise the error of his ways and they'll side up with Ben et-al to fight the "new arrivals" - Jack will never get over the fact he caused the cull by not listening to Ben and judging by Kates face when they meet in the future nobody else really forgives him either
I think it puts paid to a lot of the theories flying about - they probably intended that -
Showing you them in the future off the island writes off the whole "course correction" time travel theory.

Wow wow wow! What an ending.
People keep saying
that Charlie dying was a cop out, its not. Desmond saved his life several times and he knew it would just keep happening so by allowing himself to die, he doesnt have to keep running from it anymore and obviously save Claire too by keeping Desmond's vision true.
I thought it was a fantastic end, its a shame to see Charlie go but it makes sense and shows they're not afraid to shock viewers and kill off important characters.
Lots to think about until next season now, whenever that is.

It was blatently not needed!
I understand the argument that it was his fate and he accepted it, but it should have been handled better because it came across like he was being stupid and closed the door on the wrong side!
The first of the two parts wasn't a great episode, but the second was one of the better since season one. Still not as good as Lock's a few weeks back though. Ending
was certainly interesting and well written, raises a load of questions so ticks all the Lost End Of Season boxes.
Jack had
loads of maps in his appartment, so he is clearly looking for something. The island would be the most obvious answer, but if the blocking system got taken down then the island should be visible again, and thus fairly easy to find
Also, and I didn't spot this myself, (major spoiler)
the name of the funeral parlor is "Hoffs Drawlar", an anagram for Flash Forward
