I just watched Gattaca. That was tense as hell.

Saw Devil's Double and The Guard yesterday.

I quite liked DD but it got a bit silly near the end. Absolutely loved The Guard.

Watched Cowboys and Aliens which was good silly fun, better than I expected also:

-Arnie's Conan the Barbarian: Dragged on in places but quite enjoyed it
-Followed by Conan the Destroyer: Awful, just awful
-Followed by Red Sonja: Least said
-Finally Heat: As usual with Mann films, vastly overrated tripe

Watched Tron Legacy the other night - that was a tedious experience.
Winters Bone - Really enjoyed the film, great performances and it seemed weird to think that there are people in America who live like that.

              Was really pretty though
My favourite thing about Tron Legacy has to be the integration of the music as it was done so well. Crank that volume up high!

Karate Kid III, despite it's poor reception the script was at times amusing, and overall had the odd moment of favor. Thomas Ian Griffith is quite decent in this.

I love Tron Legacy and won't stand for any negativity towards it.

Which is why I'm sitting down at the moment.

Yeah I liked him in KK3, too.

I understand that some people love Tron, I just didn't buy into any of it. It didn't engage me.
It did look pretty; pretty but souless.

perhaps it could be fixed with some dlc or a patch

                        children of men -

still one of my top ten favs, that last action sequence is amazing and all in one take!

The Prestige - amazing! Not sure why I haven't seen it but going through some IMDB Top 100 stuff. Afterwards I then watched Chris Nolan's Following which was decent, especially for a first film. Now I just need to watch Memento, which I've never seen!

Memento is another great film to catch up on. Such a unique piece of film making.

My parents didn't like it either. In fact, I pretty much hated it when I saw it at the cinema with my mate(who loved it and saw it about three more times), partly because the 3D annoyed me and because I just didn't care. It started to grow on me later on, most likely on account of the soundtrack, so by the time it was out on BR I was going a bit nuts for it. I do love it, but mostly for the father/son stuff.

I was gonna get a birthday mug for my mate with a pic of Kevin Flynn and World's #1 Dad on it

I wouldn't be surprised if they start patching films in the future. Give them time...
