Tokyo Drift is fun, it doesnt really feel like its part of the series, but its still fun. Its actualy one of the best in the series IMO, and I enjoy them all really. I'd say the second one is the worst personally, though it does have some very funny moments in it, which may or may not be intentional.

Fast Five is on an entierly different level to every other film in the franchise though, I actualy feel it is one of the best action films ever made. Ive seen it at few times now and every time the chase sequence at the end starts I cant help but get a bit giddy, it is such a fantastic climax.

BTW does anyone know what is actualy added in the longer cut of the film that is on the Blu Ray? its only about 40 seconds longer so I am not even sure why they included both versions of the film. Is it just a few extra snippets of violence or what? I didnt notice any difference at all to be honest.

I watched Tokyo Drift a couple of times and disliked it both times :P The main actor guy was rubbish and I laughed at how drifting became the focus when it's only for show boating really. Only good bit was the cameo right at the end.

I really liked Tokyo Drift. It was a total surprise, given how different it is and, after the second, I did find myself appreciating the complete break in the story. It was basically Karate Kid with cars and that really worked for me. And it introduced Han and I thought he was great. And I loved the main kid too because he was very different - not the usual cool kid. And the setting was great.

Watched The Waterboy for the first time yesterday. It was like spending an hour and a half sitting in a dentist's waiting room on a hard plastic chair with no magazines to read.

I watched La Femme Nikita tonight. Accidentally saw about three seconds of the English dub because I didn't realise it wouldn't be in French by default. Felt dirty. Stupid DVD.

It's a weird film. It feels like they've cut an hour out of the middle or something, it just jumps all over the place. She's strong. SHE'S WEAK! She's strong. SHE'S WEAK! What?

I love the nods in Fast 4 and 5 towards Fast 3 in that Han is around and so clearly dodging the main issue with his character. It's at a point now where surely Fast 6 has to send him to Tokyo. Presumably Fast 7 would then have the guy from Tokyo Drift joining Dom's team.

                Rango - Ok kids movie
Case 39 - Pretty good supernatural thriller
Blitz - Not Statham's best but an enjoyable watch if you like seeing bad guys get beaten up.

I wouldnt call Rango a kids movie, yeah its an animation but its pretty dark and trippy, and kids wont get alot of the jokes and nods to westerns either. I also thought it was fantastic, one of the best animated films, in years but I still feel saying that is an injustice, I feel it goes beyond simply being an animation, its a great western too.

I agree about Blitz, well, I didnt like the film, but I agree that it was fun watching him beat people up and the somewhat twisted ending was somehow really satisfying.

Watched Four Lions on Channel 4 last week, a comedy about 4 incompetent British Muslim Jihadists as they try to spread terror. It's quite funny in parts and very refreshing given the serious subject matter. Worth watching.

Watched Shutter Island, thought it was fantastic. Was sad when it finished.

Liking the Fast and Furious chat. I've got 4 and 5 lined up to be watched for the first time this week. Quite excited as I love them all. Tokyo Drift was pretty spectacular I thought.

In other news, I just watched True Grit (2010). Not bad at all. Good performances from all the main actors!

I watched The Godfather again. Are the other two equally worth watching?

2 definitely is, then if you've watched that, you're as well watching 3 again too.

                              Everything Must Go.

Very nice drama with Will Ferrell playing a guy with a drinking problem whose wife locks him out of the house with all his stuff on the front lawn. His sponsor decides he should sell up so he has a big yard sale.

Oh, I realise this is for things you've watched, but Jurassic Park's showing at the IMAX(and others) from Friday

It's digitally remastered, so hopefully that doesn't mean they've blurred it up to hide the 'grain' or whatever
