It took a good couple of weeks to get my Ultimate Matrix from them last month, but as someone else pointed out, unless you pay extra for delivery it can take about three weeks.

Phew, My Casablance was shipped yesterday and arrived today. It's absolutely massive and the packaging is beautiful. Will hopefully put it on tonight.

Has anybody seen the Kill Bills yet? I'm quite tempted to order them but it's already been an expensive month so far so I need some persuasion. Also, is there any difference between the US and EU versions? I noticed Play.com have a box set with both movies with a set of art cards and considering the discs are region free I might opt for that. Choices choices....

My Dark Knight arrived from HMV. Can't wait to watch this tonight!

They look as good as they're ever likely to, if that's what you're asking. There's some degraining artefacts but I think those are part of the film's digital intermediate (I recall Quentin Tarantino commenting on something like this at the time of release).

The EU version is probably identical.

Still no uncut release in Western territories then?

Oh my god how good a film is Wall-E!

Got it on BluRay the other day having not managed to see it in the cinema. Its just sublime! Possibly my fave Pixar film now. And it just looks STUNNING in HD too. Love it.

Just finished watching The Dark Knight. I wasn't impressed with its transfer as much as i should have been, why couldn't they have just kept it as the Imax print instead of changing it between frames. The print itself wasn't as perfect as i would have liked.

Shouldn't really complain really as the film is still fantastic and is still one of the best looking blurays. Can't wait to get stuck into the extras tomorrow.

For some reason I found the full screen picture better than the Imax picture on Dark Knight. Some good scenes especially the views over the city, not mind blowing but good.

Got mine today too from Play.com, gonna watch it a bit later one. Also got Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda to get through!

Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought the fullscreen picture was Imax as it has the bigger frame? Which is why it looks better than the other.

Yeah that would be correct, the full screen scenes are the IMAX ones.

It's probably down to a few reasons. IMAX is very expensive, the cameras are very unwieldy for the film makers and it limits each shoot to around 2 minutes. An action film like this is probably the worst type of film to make using the technology.

This film is probably one of the first, if not the first of this type to be handled like this as most major IMAX films are just IMAX digital remasters rather than using IMAX cameras.

I've still not seen this film but I imagine I'll be getting it on Monday. Before seeing it I'm thinking that I'd prefer to see it in what Nolan wants me to watch it in but I suppose it's possible I'll change my mind after watching it. I'm a little surprised that they haven't given people the chance to choose on the BD though.
