Corpse Bride was absolutly terrible. Didn't the guy who did Nightmare & Coraline also do James and the Giant Peach. Haven't seen it myself, always been meaning too.

Watch Corpse Bride (ew) and then Coraline together - it soon becomes very obvious where Nightmare's real talent came from.
Hope to get some more Band of Brothers in before my holiday ends, but I'm experiencing issues with my PS3 at the moment, Blu-Rays are incredibly quiet, watching something like Band of Brothers or Coraline and the sound is about "+20" on what normal listening pleasure would be, however, then an aircraft goes overhead or the music swells and it's ridicilous, kid-waking volume!
Is that normal or is there an issue? Don't think it's my amp as it's perfect for everything else!

No idea why because I was always told that that PCM was always better as it was uncompressed.

Holy crap, that looks horrible! I've never even heard of that before.

Best bet, what I've done is set me center to +3.0 so voices are higher. I keep it there, then during night (or daytime if people are around), turn on Night mode on my amp. Limits the dynamic range. You can always turn off the sub if that's an issue, I often do for gaming but not films (gunshots can really shake the place).
And the PS3 does have a dynamic mode you can play around with to really limit the peaks and even things out.
