I too echo concerns about JJ Abrams. I thought Star Trek Into Darkness was one of the worst films I've seen in recent years, and I honestly really liked the first Star Trek reboot movie.
Then again, I'm not fussed about Alias, didn't like Lost, don't want to see Super-8 (as I suspect it's going to be the usual bull**** of making the middle of a film with no start/ending, "up to viewer interpretation" crap). Admittedly I don't know much about Fringe.

I never even knew who he was prior to getting the Star Wars gig, though I'd obviously heard of some of his work. From the bits he's done that I have seen, none of it really did much for me though I did like mission impossible. Lost, I thought was utter tripe. My one hope for the guy is that he seems to be a fan of the films, and I've liked the sound and sight of what's been leaked so far. I'm hopeful, despite my lack of interest in anything he's done prior. And hey, he's got to be a better choice than the mentioned Snyder, who makes the most awful films I've seen in recent years.

Looks like we have our first geriatric injury from Episode VII ....
Hollywood actor Harrison Ford is recovering in a UK hospital after injuring his ankle on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Why do I get the feeling they will be lucky to get through the entire filming process without most of the old codgers injuring themselves at some point!
