I dont really understand all the hate for something that hasnt even been released. They can hardly bring back the whole cast to recreate the eps 4-6 universe. Nostalgia can never be matched.

Nostalgia doesn't have to be matched. The negativity is less about 4-6 and more about 1-3 and Abrams' own output and that doesn't require anything to be released to be negative about.

Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow are awesome choices. Shame galaxies far, far away and long, long ago didn't have more women.

For those unhappy - what would you like to see?

I'm really excited for the next Star Wars. I've been quite into Star Wars for the past few months. I watched Clone Wars on Netflix, then watched all the movies. 4 and 5 are brilliant, 6 less so. 1-3 are watchable, much better than I remember so I wasn't disappointed. Of course they're not that good but definitely fun.

I'm up for pretty much anything Star Wars so I'm happy to see a new installment be released, next year no less! It can't be that bad. The cast is promising, it's directed by Abrams who is quite good and written by Kasdan who wrote 5 and 6. At least Lucas won't be inputting his own childish stuff in it, so I hope for a serious SW this time, but even so, I'll be happy to see it no matter what.

You have got be joking .. This is Disney we are talking about here and the key word is merchandise. This film will be squarely aimed at kids so they can milk them dry with the toys.I am sure there will be enough fan service (this is JJ after all), but in the end they will want kids to see it as much as adults, so I suspect it will be more ROTJ than ESB.
