Today I'm listening to The Dividing Island by Lansing-Dreiden. There doesn't seem to have been anything from these guys since, unfortunately. Or at least, not that I know of.

Been listening to Joe Hisaishi on Spotify. There is quite a decent amount of his stuff on there, I was quite surprised. Mostly been listening to the Ponyo soundtrack and the Kikujiro one.

Today, I have been mostly listening to dance music. Some Chicane, Way Out West and BT's new track, Rose of Jericho. Nice to see him back doing what he does best. I think he may have an album out this month, or soon. And Way Out West have one next month.

I've just discovered Pixelh8's The Boy With a Digital Heart album. I've listened to chiptunes before, but this is something else - like Justice with a C64.

I think Ady says he knows him. Does he have anything else out soon?

Actually Brats, he's working on some new material at the moment. He's been reprogramming vintage computers (e.g. old missile guidance computers from the 60s and such) and combining them with tighter beats. It's a very ambitious project and one he balances between studying for a master's degree and brining up a million kids!

Thoroughly nice guy though. One of the most down-to-earth and modest people you will ever meet.

I'm reacquainting myself with Helmet at the moment. Haven't listened to them since I was back at uni and I am currently reminding myself of just how good their first 3 albums were.

I am also listening to a lot of Mew, what with the new disc. Kudos to EvilBoris for also mentioning them overpage. Good to see more Mew love on here!

That's interesting. These old missile guidance computers aren't anything to do with the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park are they? I was there at the weekend (which is where I bought the CD as they had the album playing in the eighties computer section) and they had this area with loads of old war computers with big round screens.

Was a fascinating place BTW. I thoroughly recommend it.

Yeah, that's it. I might have to check that out myself at some point, sounds like a good day out!

Good call on Helmet man, i love "Betty"

It's good, but the computer bit isn't very big. The whole of Bletchley Park is fascinating, but a complete hotchpotch. There's everything from model railways to old newsreels to the code breaking stuff to a harrier jumpjet .

Yeah, Betty's a great album. Good call on Social Distortion a bit back too.

At the mo' I'm listening to the Ridge Racer Type 4 s/t (in the car, obviously) and Ice Cube's Predator, inspired by a revisit to GTA:SA.

Fever Ray, solo project of the female half of the Knife.

Sounds a lot like The Knife though and is similarly good.
