I've never been a great fan of N*E*R*D/The Neptunes, bar a few brilliant productions for certain rappers ("F*ck All Nite" by Jay-Z springs to mind), I found their first album weak, in both its electronic/rock forms, I was given a copy of their second CD, which was awful, and which I binned, but I have have absolutely loved listening to this CD, it's excellent.

    Really good album, I haven't fast-forwarded once - nay, I've actually paused t'go for' piss. That's a good sign.
Funny that, as I went for exactly the same deal in Zavvi Leeds as well. The only difference was I did like the first album. But this one wasn't bad at all.

It's weird with The Neptunes, I've never gelled with their solo work, have HATED some of their high profile productions, yet absolutely LOVE a lesser degree of ther high profile productions(!) So I can never write the buggers off. Glad you are reaping the rewards of the HEAD/Zavvi sale, there're still some incredible discs going for 99p a pop...

Currently listening to David Carretta, I think what he does is awesome, so much so that I uploaded one of his best to YouTube on Xmas day:

"Extreme Body" exemplifies what 'kick-ass' means.

Everyone is out so volume is set to ROCK.

After that, it'll be Sub Focus (New album self titled). Also, check out the smack my bitch up remix on the myspace page!

Been listening to stuff on Mix Cloud lately... http://www.mixcloud.com/

                  Really good variety and quality!

the last track 11:11 on Rodrigo & Garbriela's latest, it is by far the standout for me on the album where all tracks are inspired by their musical hero's. I just read its their tribute to Pink Floyd and I think I was drawn to it as it had a shine on you crazy diamond vibe to it (the long intro bit).

Its brilliant, not inspired in the way Noel Gallagher takes inspiration, its just a beautiful restrained piece of music

Journey - Don't Stop Believin' and Pixies - Debaser to start me off today before I settle into some chillout electronica from Air. I always do uni work to some more relaxed chillout stuff.

Listening to A Perfect Circle at the moment. Unfortunately, a new album is about as likely as Shenmue 3...

I have listened to Nick Cave's 15 Feet of Pure White Snow as it seemed to fit the mood of the nation.

Hot Leg - didn't think much of it.

Kate Bush discography - is it me or is hounds of love the only good album with more than one decent track per album?
