ive just got in to the australian band periphery and im in love with there debut album (self titled) i love a song with a good groove =) although i can imagine this sort of music only appealing to a select audience.

also been listening to pendulum and mastodon as well, lovely stuff!

I've been going all 80's and listening to a lot of Italo Disco recently, was a bit too young to appreciate it at the time as I was about 5 when the genre was at it's peak but theres some good stuff out there, mostly been listening to tunes by Ken Laszlo, Den Harrow, Tom Hooker and Mark Farina.

My god, it's brilliant. A bunch of nautical themed songs that couldn't be more varied genre wise, yet they're bound together by amusing moog synths and uh, swear words.

Anyone know any other good Ween albums? This is ace, but I get the sense they're a mixed bag.
I love ween, but theres some tracks you inevitably cannot stand, and some you love, thats part of their genius.

        Check out:

        Chocolate and Cheese
The Pod (if only for Dr Rock)
        Quebec
        La Cucharacha

Great songs on all of them. Probably my favourite band.

Tried so hard to like it, but just prefer the first. I'd pick it up if it was cheap I spose.

          Been listening to the following:
Asher Roth - Seared Foie Gras With Quince And Cranberry Mixtape - Usually don't listen to mixtapes but had to try this purely for the name. Esp like F*ck the Money.
Charlie 2na - Fish Outta Water - Raps answer to Barry White (vocally not lyrically) brings the awesome.
The Mighty Underdogs - Droppin Science Fiction - Quannum peoples bring the excellence once again
The Coup Mixtape - Boots Riley's group before Street Sweeper Social Club, Pimps especially is excellent

Finally Live at the Heavenly Social 1 & 2 and G.Love and Special Sauce. Excellent reminder of some of my favourite parts of the 90's!

Cheers for those I had a feeling I'd tire of The Mollusk after a few listens, but it's still in my current rotation of albs' after all these weeks.

Just bought The Divine Comedy's new 'un. My first of theirs after loving the Cricket concept album that Neil Hannon fella did. It's great. Hardly the punchiest album going, but really consistent and filled with heart-warming melodies and humour. Will undoubtedly be investigating their older albums now.

Can't stop listening to anything by AKB48 at the moment. River is an awesome track and their latest single "Ponytail..." is summer greatness!!

Currently listening to (and watching) Here Comes Science by They Might Be Giants. Really good tracks and a must for any of you with kids. The animated DVD with videos for all the tracks is excellent.

Im still listening to B.O.B 'The adventure of Bobby Ray' (i think that's what it's called)

Its not bad, and reminds me of Wale's (Attention Defacit) style of music, both of whom refference video gaming in their tuowns
