    IMHO!
I missed this, sorry, yeah I still think Permission to Land is a classic, despite it sounding really bad on my system for some reason

Listened to Hounds of Love and The Prodigy Experience today

Trying desperately to get into some new music, sampling various albums but very, very few of them last more than one listen through, which is a shame. I find it so hard to get into new music whereas some people just seem to do it effortlessly with 60 new bands they find a week.

Up for recommendations of course, I like a pretty varied range, so you never know.

At this late hour I'll recommend ISIS. Albums; Panopticon and Oceanic are both fairly fantastic. If you like that sort of thing - it's all subjective.

I'm spending most of my time listening to the latest Brian Jonestown Massacre release of Who Killed Sgt. Pepper?

The rest of my music time has really been spent listening to their older stuff.

Absolutely love this band at the moment and I'm really enjoying the Icelandic music & vocals throughout the latest album.

Early 80's Rod Stewart, his version of Some guys have all the luck and Young Turks, he looks dead cool in that vid.

Dug out my old self-created double CD of Marc Moulin's 'Sam Suffy' and Johnny Hammond's 'Gears' that I burned in my pothead years (1996-2005), by God what good **** this is.

'Sam Suffy' is priceless, and 'Gears' the equivalent. Thank f*ck I had/still have taste, at least. Not much else, mind...!

                      Burial : Untrue.

Someone recommended this to me. Still don't quite see what all the fuss is about though, if I'm being honest.

Hmm, that's on my wishlist. Is it all average or there some good tracks in there?

XX by The XX, now officially my album of 2009. A stunning piece of work and I can't wait to hear what they do next.

The House of Love - The House of Love : Great stuff from the early 90s. Standout track for anyone wanting to sample them are Shine on and I don;'t know why I love you

Laura Marling - Alas I cannot Swim : Fabulous folky stuff

                            The Cult : Love

Jedi Mind Tricks - Violent By Design : Probably the best hip-hop album ever made

Well it's entirely subjective, but to me it just sounds like really abstracted UK Garage drowned in reverb.

You can hear some of the tracks from Burial on last.fm. I'd advise you "try before you buy"...

Just bought Four Tet's new alb'. He's ditched all those lovely vinyl textures and drum breaks in favour of some pretty middle of the road 4/4 house. Well disappointed.

One the plus, I've got the Jaga Jazzist newie on the way so hopefully that's just as great as their old stuff.
