Thought the book was a wonderful read, finished it in 2 days (3/4 sittings).

Found a few bits touchy as he and I have lived a life that paralells in quite a few ways, I also had my family decimated in a very short amount of time.

It's just a damn good read though, especially interesting to read the troubles he had getting Blinking Lights made and the issues the US had with Daisies of the Galaxy, none of which I knew about. I didn't even know about the 20 seconds of silence between Selective Memory and Mr E's Beautiful Blues, though I totally agree with E on that one.

disappointed in Massive Attack, couple of stonkers like Splitting the Atom and Pray For Rain but overall I don't like it.

The album did come across a bit "meh" as there were only a few tracks I really enjoyed but nothing I hated.

Currently listening to Odd Blood - Yeasayer

I found the cancer stuff a bit difficult to read, as I've experienced something similar with a close relative. The level of detail he went into was a bit surprising as it was very intimate. Oh, and I absolutely hated that nurse for what she did.

Big fan of different types of music but I never post in here as theres no real focus or discussion.

However, I just a got a load of new Yum! Yum! ORANGE J-Ska albums and I'm really enjoying them. Anyone who is a fan of Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris... etc will like it.

I'm not a J-freak like importaku or someone but are there any similarly funky Japanese bands I should look into?

OMG loads of good stuff turned up from amazon today.

Best of bent - Chillouty dance stuff

Skream Watch the Ride - Dubstep mix album

Defected House London 2010 - Housetastic, totally loving this

Also, listening to the heligoland album by massive attack - a bit of a return to form after the 100th window - couldn't get into that at all.

Pixies: Complete 'B' Sides. It has the best version of Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf).

Also listening to the album Zen Arcade by Husker Du.

Crap loads of Dropkick Murphys and I just discovered Sublime too. Also got the latest HIM album which is a bit better than their last 3 and more up to their earlier standards.

Been listening to Luke Vibert's Further Nuggets, basically a compilation of 60s, 70s and 80s loungecore/synth music collected from music library archives - absolutely amazing stuff, and I've now dug my Jack Arel CDs out again ("Strange Galaxy" kicks arse, the man's a genius!):

The album sampler for Ali Love's new release, gone a fair but more electro than his previous efforts, cool zo!

Break My Soul, from Hybrid's new album due out next month (Disappear Here). Good stuff, but then I've always liked their output so may be biased.

Hohum, you have excellent taste, I felt compelled to come and post this here for the first time too. I met them a couple of years ago and they where already excited about where this album was going. If you goto disapearhere.info you can download the instrumental as well as the original which is on the main site.
