Been wanting to give these chaps a whirl for a while. They supposedly sound like a lot of my faves. Any standout albums?

Falling Through a Field is their best, IMO. It's the only one where Tobacco doesn't rely almost entirely upon the robot vocoder effect on his voice. Dandelion Gum is also decent, but not as good, mainly because of the vocoder overkill.

Overall though, they remind me of a lo-fo Boards of Canada with vocals and played with instruments.

Anyway, I'm just about to listen to the latest Arcade Fire album The Suburbs...

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier.

No notable tracks. Average Maiden album with one lol moment.

          Pearl Jam - Backspacer

Only just picked this up and have to say wow just wow.

It's their best album since Ten, fairly short, not one filler track back on top form for me.

          Essential purchase.

Excellent choice, one of my favourite albums of recent times. Was awesome to see them live recently too.

Total ODB overdose, "Cracka Jack" in particular, the death of Dirt McGirt felt like the death of a great brother to me, I still lament. Totally f*cked but great lyrics, who else could compose this?:

"Bitch, ya got herpes in yo ass, everytime you f*ck a ni*ga, he dies FAAAAaaaaSt...and you won't last . . . - (your pussy break down from a raaaash.)"

Two absolute classics Neil. I made the error when I bought my first CD player at maybe 17, of thinking CD's were the ultimate and gave all my vinyl away. Including some (now) rare and desirable stuff.
