I own this on CD, and love it, a great album and not just because of the comedy value or whatever. Somehow his disjointed 'singing' fits great.

        Zola Jesus:

Something of a blind buy having only heard one song but I've been playing it to death since.

Pretty much bought the cd straight after hearing a few tracks.

I stumbled on this song randomly on YouTube and I really dig it. This is Jack White's missus Karen Elson. Beautiful woman and good song. The guitarist is also super-cool, wish I had sideburns like that.

Yeah, she's a former(?) model. I'm a sucker for redheads like her. Probably quite a few others are too...

Been listening to some more ambient stuff, here's one of my favourites (although it's cut a little short due to the 10 minute Youtube limit):

I'd also recommend Train Travel by Doyeq, although that's not on Youtube by the looks of it... can be downloaded/listened to for free at Passage though (http://www.passagemusic.net/index.php?id=22).

Found a band called breadwinner today, two of their tracks in particular "bound to lose my mind" and "I'm the man" must have been played about ten times each at volume. Proper rock. My neighbours must be loving it. Nothing puts me in a better mood than finding a new band to listen to though.

Been listening to the OSTs for Batman '89, Begins and The Dark Knight on repeat this week. Not meaning to drag the overdiscussed Batman topic into here but Elfman's score is full of majesty and mystery in equal measure. It obviously wouldn't suit the tone of the Nolan films but it's still what I'd consider to be Batman's definitive soundtrack.

Now listening to 'Tao of the Dead' from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead which just came out today.

I've been waiting for this album since before Christmas (I'm a huge fan), and so far, I'm not at all disappointed!
