Sly & Robbie - Reggae Greats. Quality compilation of some of their best moments from the mid-80s. Also the first Portishead album and Hip-Hop Is Dead.

        In my cd player today-
        Primal scream-vanishing point.
        Suede-sci-fi lullabies (both discs)
The long blondes-someone to drive you home.
        Blondie-parallel lines.

booya! i watched hackers the other day and noticed again a few tracks on the dvd were speedier than those on my cd soundtrack.... most notably orbital's 'halcyon & on & on', leftfield's 'open up' and underworld's 'cowgirl'. so today i dug around the internet until i found a proggy that could 'adjust' the tracks accordingly.

i found one called 'mixcraft' which is utterly amazing... i timestretched (well, compressed) the tracks, kept the pitch the same so no chipmunk voices and BAM! instant proper (IMO) versions of the tracks that i know and love.

Listening to Bel 90: History Of Belgian Pop & Rock of the 90's. which sounds pretty decent, some pretty rubbish.

The new LCD Soundsystem and Busdriver albums are decent.

Been listening to DJ Hell - Electronicbody-Housemusic.

Some nice stuff on that, though the spongy/furry nubs that hold the CD's into the packaging are really **** (CD2 keeps falling out and is destined to be scratched at some point.)

I hate stupid pacakaging like that. Listening to Sigur Ros - Takk at the moment and as much as the case looks very nice. The CD is packed so tightly in the little slot thing, that it gets scratched every time you take it out.

But I do love the album so i'll forgive them.

DJ Yoda - Muted Cartoons from his latest album.

One of the best albums i've heard lately.

Dig Your Own Hole, to be followed by Dismemberment Plan's Change, which is just ace. Their stuff's quite rare in this country, but do yourself a favour and, ahem, obtain it.

I've been listening to Ben Kweller's self titled album - it's a great album, I don't think there's a track on there I skip. I particularly like Sundress and This Is War.

Weekend In The City. It's growing on me, but the way all the words are stre-etc-hed ou-ou-tt to more syllables is a bit grating.
