Metallic Falcons - Desert Donuts.

I love this. Metallic Falcons is comprised of Sierra Cassady from the excellent CocoRosie and another woman called Matteah Baim. They describe their music as 'lullaby desert metal', which kind-of makes sense. Don't let the 'M' word fool you, though. This isn't heavy rock music at all, but very ambient, atmospsheric, surreal and beautiful. It's only truly 'metallic' in a deconstructive sense.

Musically, it really does invoke images of baking hot deserts, mysterious temples and mirages. One of my most played albums last summer.
