My Zetec is fully loaded with music today, as got to drive over to Romsey later so can pump out some tunes.
Got the first QOTSA album, some Doves, "Until Your Heart Stops" by Cave In, an album by Dead Meadow, the first Jonathan * Fire Eater EP and a mixtape CD I did myself that has loads of sweary hip hop on it, and some rocking tunes like "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple. The Purple, sitting proudly alongside Ol Dirty Bastard. That sort of crazy s*** only happens in Seany's motor, beleee dat.

Hey, it ain't my fault their music suits ****ty weather (in the same way some music suits nice, summery weather)!
(Not sure how that makes me "emo" though...)

Ladyton : Witching Hour
Kafka : Fantome - Intro Das Waltz Discovered this enigmatic album going cheap in my local Indie store last Christmas. I'd never heard of the band before and bought it on a whim. Turns out they're a Portugese experimental indie(-ish) band with gothic overtones. In fact, their music has a foreboding quality that sort of reminds me of a soundtrack to a gothic spaghetti western (if that makes sense to anybody at all). I googled them for ages and found nothing but a website with an album review in Portugese and concluded they were a fleeting one-off too elusive even for the all-knowing interweb. I was most surprised to later discover they had a MySpace page. Check 'em here.
Lonely China Day : EP A Chinese band that basically plays Chinese folk music on western instruments (guitars, drums, bass, electronics etc). They're really rather good, and can also be found on tha 'space by following this link. Check out 'Sorrow' first. Their EP is available from their page and I highly recommend it.

Yay!
It is has just been released on iTunes this morning (in the UK at least) and thus, I will download it right now and give it a listen.
The Uncut magazine reviewed it the other day and made me more excited than I should be. The summary of the review:
It seems that the few songs I have listened to so far sounds a lot more 'pop' than their usual sound but I shall listen to the whole album first before (possibly) complaining about their new direction.
I wonder if any other Rilo Kiley fans on here have listened to the new album too.
