Watching Alice In Chains' Music Bank videos at the mo. Just serves to remind me what a crock of **** the modern hard rock/alternative scene is at the moment.
I'd give a kidney to have been about in Seattle when the scene was just kicking off there... AIC, Mother Love Bone and Soundgarden playing the small local clubs in the early days /old fart

Yeah, it's good, brilliant in parts....but they still can't do it as well as Justice (and boy, do they try so many different ways).

On a sidenote, been re-listening to a 1980 jazz-funk CD called "Viva Brasil" by a band named "Viva Brasil" (which is a Brazilian/US combo). Brilliant latin jazzy stuff, not as chunky as George Duke's forays into the Brazilian jazz scene, but some beautiful, uplifting music, well worth the quid I paid for it back in 2001.

It's a bright sunny day for once here in Devon, so I thought I'd chill outside with my ipod for most of the morning, listening to Jandek and Joy Division.

                  Excellent choice

I'm listening to that new Radiohead track that leaked last night. It's very good.

                    It's not bad, is it?

Listening to lots of Animal Collective at the moment. Their music reminds me of hyperactive children and makes me feel very happy.

Supergrass, In It For The Money. Massively underrated UK classic. Also Jonathan Fire Eater: Wolf Songs For Lambs.

Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Birds Of Fire", followed by half of Snoop's "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" (cool but still mediocre compared to his debut), then back onto the fusion with "Tunnels" by Percy Jones, which is meandering and nice, but not shotgun-heavy where I'd like it to be.

Oh, and this tune is on my head all the time at present, I've recently got back into Salsoul, and this was a top 5 fave from my drug-addled years:

I would love to meet Jazzfunk. His music choices and general demeanor. Top class.

                          Me?

                          Rocking Dr Octogon nowz.

^I echo your sentiments entirely (and much thanx for the warm fuzzy there).

The first Doc Oc, it never gets old.

This is not a song by The Frank & Walters. Saw it sticking out of my records and decided to give it a spin. Memories, by god what a wasted youth I had...or not, depending on your point of view.
