If I were you I would skip to Seventh Son of Seventh Son and just play The Evil That Men Do on repeat. That song owns all other songs ever written by man or beast.

Meltdown is pretty groovy, all be it a grower. Evil Eye and Starcrossed being faves imo Tim Wheeler is a bit of a lyrical genuis when hes 'on'
going back to this, i caught 'polaris' on radio 2 a few days ago, well the arse end of it anyway and it sounded lovely. i picked it up today.

holy poop, this is a beautiful beautiful song. i'm almost moved to tears here, wow.

for the record, i adore songs with violins as backing...

Started the day with Jazz at the Plaza by the Miles Davis Sextet followed by some ostentatious campery courtesy of Rufus Wainwright's Want One. This afternoon has heralded Kate Bush's Hounds of Love and now Demon Days by Gorillaz.

Listening to some new albums at the moment:

                  Digitalism - Idealism
                  White Stripes - Icky Thump
Calvin harris - I Created Disco

Too early to say how good any of them are, except the Digitalism album is really starting to grab me.

Started off with The Boy and the Tree by Susumu Yokota. Then I went right up the weird scale with Cibo Matto's Viva! La Woman before settling down with Prisoners of Love, a Yo La Tengo compilation.

Nothing like a bit of the ol' Cibo Matto.

I've been mainly listening to my own beats today as I've been making them...

A really nasty Surgeon techno set recorded in St Louie in 2005.

It's just getting onto some ghetto tech beats with some wicked 303 over the top.

I've been delving back into my factory records collection particularly Joy division and also the first happy mondays LP. Also whilst driving Pulp Fusion 8.

An End Has A Start, the new Editors CD, and Biffy Clyro's Puzzle. Both have been hard to get into (Editors isn't anywhere near as accessible as their excellent debut, and I'm new to the music of Biffy), but I am slowly starting to appreciate both cds.
