Rosario+Vampire ep3 - the show is complete trash but i love it, the amount of panty shots must me hypnotizing me in to liking it. I can see the next 4 eps being, pants -> new girl -> new badguy -> pants -> human hurt protecting -> vampire -> asskicking -> pants

Once the manga finally gets into it's normal pace, there's a couple of nice fights in it which make up for the series(nothing epic but reasonable enough) but it's debatable whether the series will last enough to get to them. <_<

Spice and Wolf ep 2 - Still loving it. I love Horo's VA. She makes the role for me... although I've always been a fan even to the extent that I know her name! Should hopefully be caught up with it soon. Still probably my favourite show of the season though one or two others are pushing it close now.

Shigofumi ep 2 - I'm likng it a lot. I was thinking this might be another Jigoku Shoujo where I'm rolling my eyes at a lot of it but nothing too rollworthy so far. Talk about a ****ty few weeks for the little one though... how unlucky can you get . I hope it keeps it up.

Minami-ke okawari ep 1 - gonna echo the thoughts of everyone else really. Don't like the new look but I think part of that is growing used to and attached to the style of the first show. Other than that it's the same show so I've not got any complaints. I like the way they use the characters and put them in certain situations like

. It seems obvious now but I'd not given it any thought as to a situation they'd find themselves in. I do hope we get to see the rest of them again pretty soon. In particular I want to see Hosaka and the other minami family again. Some interesting new characters wouldn't go amiss either.

Minami-ke okawari's 2nd ep, hmmm. Not sure if it's missing something from the X_X subs but it was pretty devoid of laughter from me. Only a brief appearance of Hosaka had me laughing properly. On the plus side, it might be setting up something good for the next ep.

Ended up dropping Hatenkou Yugi when I discovered I was skipping through most of it.

Minamike Okawari ep2 - This episode got me all confused... seems we get a retcon of the gang leader stuff so this ep confirms its not a straight second season with different art. Some nice stuff but i still prefer the original banchou story and we get a small amount of screen time for Hosaka(with maki doing there stuff, love that combo ). Also seems they really, really want all the fan service for Kana's new toned and pert body which i am not against

Gonna 1 post last thing, what subs will everyone using, seems they'll be 4/5 groups now, i'll certainly use [X_X] for speed and they use mkv but what of [GC-TA] and [Aho-Neko].

I would say you right about the laughs, there isn't as much as last season.. guess it comes down directing as the jokes there telling are almost the same for ep2, and the Chiaki/kana stuff doesn't that have hard cold violent edge and terrorism but now seems more like sisterly fights. Still good but not as good as it should be.

X_X seems to be a bit better from what I see. GC was alright enough but it seemed like they were a bit lazier in translating some of the stuff such as when the minami's cousin was mumbling under the kotatsu. Id stick with X_X unless some other more well known group picks 'em up. Shame Ayako dropped it due to lack of a translator.

i wouldn't mind knowing as well, been holding off starting Okawari until a decent / known group picked it up, but so far non have.

from the comments on AniDB both the GC and Aho-neko subs are apparently pretty bad, no comments on the quality of the X_X subs i comparison tho.

Shigofumi ep3 was released earlier today, and apart from the video quality, which was apparently down to being no good raws about, it was another great ep. loved the bit at the beginning where she dealt with the thugs aswell as the bit where she deals with the crazy father, loving her fancy gun aswell. we also got some hints at her background towards the end of the ep. would love to have seen the unedited/uncensored version, or at least know what they actually changed.

also watched some more of Princess Tutu today, and despite what it is (magical girl meets ballet), its surprisingly good. Theres some nice bits like the battles that are acted out using ballet moves etc. Also the cat teacher is rather amusing at times too. Certainly different from anything else ive watched before.

I watched Aho-Neko's episode 1. It wasn't too bad, but it's not something I'd keep myself. So I suppose it's best just to get whichever one comes first as they don't seem to be that different in quality. I'm personally still waiting on anime-empire & saizen or Ayu to finish off the first minami-ke season and hopefully they'll carry on into the second season (I suppose I should ask around to see if they will carry on with this okawari season). I'll be archiving either of theirs that's for sure, as I'm not exactly a big fan of Ayako's but it was the only option if I wanted to catch up.

I've just seen it myself and I don't get what you mean that the episode confirms it's not a straight second season? Where was the retcon? From what I understood of the subs it seems to confirm it is a straight sequel just with them moving on a bit. Admittedly it's been a long time since I saw the banchou stuff from the first season.

The ep itself as everyone said not particulary funny but I did get a laugh out of seeing Hosaka in action again and I had a little chuckle when Fujioka's stalker found out what the prize was for winning the arm wrestling contest.

I've also seen a new set of subs for episode 2 and from the versions I've seen it's the best one. It's a joint by GC and TweakAnime. Never heard of either of them aside from GC just recently starting up to sub the first ep of Minami-ke okawari. Anyway there were one or two slight blips in the subs but other than that it wasn't bad. I'd say it was about the same level as Ayako now. The version I had, had karaoke and all that jazz if you're into that. Apparently they'll be doing a re-release of ep 1 which I'll probably keep for the time being whilst hoping someone else picks the show up.

Clannad ep 15 - Nice episode. I liked seeing the more serious side of Sunohara. Stll the episode did have me laughing during certain parts and particularly during the final two minutes with

Sunohara "fighting" Nagisa for Tomoya It was like the scene they had earlier in the series with Ryou(?) and Nagisa that Sunohara and Tomoya had set up but funny nonetheless. I guess this is going to be a more Sunohara-centric arc which is fine by me as I said it's good to see another side to him rather than just the comedy sidekick. Even before this episode it had to be Tomoya X Nagisa for me. I just can' picture it with anyone else. Oh and it was nice to see that they've not just forgotten about Fuuko entirely which was a problem I had with Kanon

with the return of Tomoya role playing jokes(x2) and lots of Sunohara. The show does seem to be heading towards a Nagisa win as in the original game, but i really doubt they'll animate "After" story with Kyou,tomoyo and Nagisa herself yet to go and with Tomoyo being popular enough to get her own version of "After arc" it could be close.. im still routing for Nagisa but the little interaction with Tomoyo are catching my eye

Just finished Lucky Star (finally). Absolute sheer class!! Proper craziness and Azumanga style hijinks but with actual references to things like G*****m, Poke*** etc

I fancy a change of pace now as the last couple of shows that I have watched have been school based series. Can anyone recommend me something with a bit more of an adult feel to it. I've started Spice & Wolf and think that's brilliant and was wondering if there's anything similar around?
