Hanamaru Kindergarten looks set to be the show of the season so far (not hard). Insanely cute and relatively funny.

Duralalalala or what ever it is, ep1-2 - enjoying it so far, nice style, seem sit it will have good story to.

Hanamaru Kindergarden ep1-2 - was expecting it to be some complete moe-blob rubbish but it has tinge of adult humor in amongst is innosense like Azumanga.

Dance in the vampire bund ep1-2, ep1 introduction didn't work for me, but ep2 certainly kicked things of, shaft animating some crazy fights is my kind of thing. Was pretty disappointed though then it turns out the main guys

man its been a while since i posted, anyways some of those are nice but i think im gonna stick with the orignal Win 7-tan Madobe Nanami voiced theme that was a jp exclusive at launch (if anyone wants it i can upload the theme file for peeps).

As for the general anime front i pretty much agree which whats already been said about the new season so far. Particularly liking Dura..., Vampire Bund, New Hidamari and Baka Test. Its of to a slow start so far but im hoping Ookami Kakushii picks up soon considering its by the same guy who wrote Higurashi and Umineko and is apparently set in the same meta universe that the other 2 are, so could be interesting to see what crossovers there are (if any).

And talking of higurashi i finally got round to watching Higurashi Rei last night. Rather enjoyed the Dice Killing chapter, was a nice way to finally bring the story to an end. Was quite surprised when rika says that she was the witch Bernkastel (sp?) although after abit of reading up its debatable if its actually THE rika thats the Bern in umineko and not some offshoot personality, still its all rather interesting, just hope the interconnetions are expanded upon some either through a further umineko series (im assuming one is due eventually in some form) and possibly through Ookami Kakushii.

With the news that announced anime for spring 2010 total only 25, down from an incredible peak of 60 or more in the heady spring of 2006, many cannot help but conclude that the anime bubble has finally burst.

Having approximately 25 titles announced so far (with at most a further 5-10 unannounced titles thought possible), the spring 2010 season is dwarfed by the output of previous years in the same season, which exceeded 60 shows by some counts, and represents the most precipitous decline yet.

With the bulk of recent titles made up by the products of the so-called “moe boom,” most observers seem to consider the collapse to have been caused by a surge of nondescript or outright dubious titles flooding the market.

Recent years have also seen the worst excesses of the anime industry reach absurd proportions, with the Endless Eight fiasco a case in point.

Sentiment increasingly seems to view this not as a debilitating crash but instead as a much needed return to normalcy, with the industry now having the chance to replace an unsustainable torrent of vapid and low quality shows with the kind of quality franchises which projected the industry into its boom in the first place.

About time.

I hope some quality does return as i'm finding it harder each season to find something to watch. I'd also like to see some decent Mecha come back, maybe some more Gundam from the UC timeline or something, plus i'd like to see some shows that don't have schools or teenagers in!

Just realised I have completely stopped watching anime now, deleted all the unwatched shows I had saved. I dont really miss it.

Still reading manga though.

i still find time to watch, not as much as i use to, but its mainly down to not watching normal tv and having virgin+ to watch the few programs i do outside of football.

Still there are at least 1 or 2 gems each season, winter gave Bakemonogatari/Kimi no Todoke/Dark than Black and i can always find time to watch the latest One Piece and FMA'09, i've dropped bleach and almost had enough of the manga to, Naruto is main arc only where i just skip to the fights.

This season looks has some interesting stuff being Nodame's final season(of course), Durlalalaalalaaaalaalla, Hanamaru Kindergarten and Sora no Woto. Shaft's vampire show is so/so atm, you can never tell if you you'll get some **** like there Negima remake or something brilliant like Bakemonogatari.

Gundam Unicorn OVA is due to start soonish (feb i think), having 6 50min eps. Its set a couple of years after Chars Counterattack. So before UC gets abit dodgy with Victory etc.

Been going through the modern Lupin III movies.

First Contact was great, Dead or Alive was enjoyable if a bit melancholy, Green vs Red was a massive, massive disappointment and a waste of a great concept.

Slowpoke i know but ive just got round to watching Kara no Kyoukai 7. just ****ing awesome, and a great way to end, such a shame it's the end. Will miss looking forward to this wonderful series of films, the sound/music, animation, story, character development, atmosphere everything was just brilliant. Once i get a free day im just gonna sit down and marathon them all.

Seriously tho if no one here has seen any of these yet go and do it know, you wont be disappointed.

Katanagatari ep1 - seems this show is going the Hellsing Ulimate/Figure17 route of short episode count but long 45 mins with "quality" animation but lucky it seems it'll be released every 2 weeks. If anyone who remembers Shura no Toki from a few years ago, it pretty much the same plot without the historical figures, and the reason being to collect some swords instead of just finding and beating strong swordmen with his unarmed combat.
