The casting for the Gantz movie is excellent. However I suspect it's going to be pretty low budget and not feature the violence or nudity.

Hopefully it won't be two hours of them standing around an alien shouting at each other to shoot it (whilst not actually shooting it).

killed off Kei the 1st time, and the aliens got increasing more stupid on the impossible to beat scale taking the fun out of it. But boy that 1st half of the story before the war starts is up there with berserk.

If the film is the onion mission, then the Bird mission followed by the Budha mission i would be happy with that.

i thought we where in for a 1st couple getting together, at least we know why the straight talking Ryo hasn't told Chizu his feelings , im betting his brother turns out to either have a girlfirend or be married.

Kobato ep17 - still hasn't gone anywhere with the story since the man in black turned up other than his possible identity, while it was a nice surprise to find out Kobato universe is set in the

one went a certin person cameo'd in this ep, but then i shouldn't be surprised being this is clamp(along with the chobits nod to)

still enjoying Nodame, Sora no Woto, Vampire Bund and Dullala. Baka test has turned out surprisingly enjoyable along with the perv'fest that is LadyXButlers and they slightly creepy Hanamaru kindergarden, but im close to dropping Omamori Himari and Ookamikakushi both have turned out pretty meh!

Also big week for the 3 large shounens mangas, can't wait to read the new One Piece.

Since my last post I've performed the amazing deed of watching 2 episodes of anime.

Anyway, one of them was the first episode of Katanagatari. Really like this! The speech alternates between a bit of excessive waffle(which I suppose is necessary to explain the plot) and some interesting exchanges between the characters. Digging the simplistic designs as well.

Who knows, maybe I'll even stop playing bioshock 2 long enough to watch another episode!

Also, I dunno if anyone else is reading it but Cross Game looks like it's due to end next week. Bit sad really.

Durarara!! is the only thing on that I'm watching (I do TLC for AnCo^2).
I finished the script for Ragan-hen today! Hopefully we're only 2-3 weeks off release now.

Hi hope you guys can help, i'm looking to upgrade my Macross II VHS tapes to DVD, am I right in thinking that "Macross II: The Movie" DVD is just the episodes chained together, i.e it isn't like DYRL? Cheers.

Most DVDs seem fairly cheap and easy to get hold of.

It was weird finally seeing the show and seeing just how many of the robot toys I played with as a kid were actually influenced by Macross designs!

i hope it keeps up with the unsettling vibe the shows been putting out since ep1, while it looks like a moeblob's play Army with lots of slice of life im hoping it will end up with them in a real war or at least fighting what ever the "Zombie soldier" lost against and this ep gives me hope! MORE BURNING TANK MOE's

Halo Legends - like batman and Matrix has about 3 good eps and the rest forgettable, the best being Odd one Out a Super Sentai parody of Spartans, Protype even with its meh script is a nice little action piece with mech suit and the 3D cgi animation called the package with MC, Fred and Kelly kicking ass.

Finally getting up to date with the tpb versions of One Piece. I'm on volume 51 now, only 3 more after this. It's really kept me hooked in a way other shonen series haven't (except maybe Negima).

Going to have to find a new series to put in my ebook reader. Thinking about Monster as I hear loads of people raving about it.

Which ebook reader do you have? I've been tempted to get one but with say the Kindle there isn't much manga available (it all seems to Yaoi!) and i haven't really seem much for sale anywhere else.

Anime wise i've just been watching old stuff, and looking forward to Gundam Unicorn.

Sony PRS505. If you use Calibre you can convert cbz/cbr (renamed zip/rar) files into LRE and it's pretty effective. Does have a few minor issues, notably it hates files with a mix of png and jpgs but other than that, it's great.

For my PRS600 I use Photoshop to resize everything to 800x600 then Acrobat Pro to convert the whole lot into PDF. Doesn't look great unless the pages have been over-levelled to dark destruction.

PDF is slow, if you convert to LRF it's much much faster.
