I mainly "ignored it" because of the subs. I was waiting for it all to be completely subbed before watching it further. I remember liking the sound of it at the time though. Now, it's just a case of fitting all those episodes in somewhere. I suspect it'll have to wait until my holidays.

It's worth it. Its like the nature and detective bits of Mushishi, combined with slice of life as a Erin grows from a young girl to an adult as people/friends/family come and go out of her life. Then Half away through throw in a political drama

All the usual places, really. Tokyotosho, IRC bots, etc... Subbed by BSS.

              Thanks for the info.

Completed watching Macross II Lovers Again for the first time, from what I had seen of it before it was my favorite anime and it still holds that place in my book!

Sat through Macross 2012 Flashback too, which is onviously awesome.

Gonna check out Space Fantasia 2001 Nights next.

It's going to be incredibly tough avoiding The Disappearance of Haruhi Spoilers (although the trailer was a bit spoilery) on 4chan. Anyone know the release date for the DVD?

I assume it's actually going to get a HD version this time...

Anyhow, it's now spring and a new season of anime is upon us:

B Gata H Kei, Mayoi Neko Over run (genericish but I love the ToLoveRu guy's art), Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou are the series I'll check out.

It'll be amusing to see how butchered Kiss x Sis is on TV. Also looking forward to the Sora No Otoshimono DVD special, hopefully it'll get a second series once there's enough manga out.

I think the Ironman thing was written by Warren Ellis, so should be fairly mental.

Looks like just Heroman for me.

It's rather surprising how few Mecha series there are nowadays. Sunrise are about the only people still making them.

That said, that Tenchi Muyo spin off is pretty good (it flopped so they cancelled the TV series and compressed it into OVAs). Reminds me of Escaflowne but targeted at men rather than girls.

                          defo's for me

Votoms - Real Mecha back in action!!
                          K-on!!
Giant Killing (hopfully it will be whistle good and not tsubasa or Wild striker bad)
Angel Beats - not disliked a KEY production yet.
Heroman - looks good on paper.
SD gundam show - rot3k+gundam = im there.

Space Fantasia 2001 Nights was total phantasmo from 1987, apologies for bringing the oldies into this thread but there's nowhere else. Good slice of science fiction story telling and quite compelling in it's themes. Awesome 80's soundtrack also.

Also watched "Call me tonight" from around the same time, which revolved around a female escort helping out a guy who transforms into a beast everytime he passes a sexual thought. Good titlation in this one, recomended for a 30 min OVA.

Nice theme song too 0_o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0DomyPfT6E

Oldies are good! I'm acquiring Great Mazinger even as we speak. Most of the stuff on my "to watch" list is from the 90s.

I struggle to get on with the clean computer drawn look of anime these days, particularly where cg is spliced in so im a bit dinosaured in that respect!

And there aren't as many songs with sax in anime these days.
