I was lucky enough to get to see Paprika in the cinema at the Barbican a few years back. As good as the blu-ray is, it's definitely more of an experience on the big screen.

Watched Summer Wars yesterday. Was excellent although not as good as The Girl Who Lept Through Time.
Felt like it was getting a bit muddled and direction-less in the middle but the way it brought all the various elements together towards the end was great. The big Koi Koi match managed to get me a bit teary eyed too.Comment

Definately enjoying HOTD, seems to be the only really good show this season. It's annoying the Op single isn't out till late August.
I've dropped mitsudomoe after hearing the second ep has a big focus on piss jokes.

Legend of the Legendary Heroes, 2 episodes in and it's alright. Thought with a name like that it would be pants but so far so good. Basara Two, same as always just non-stop action and shouting and the first episode started pretty decent, let's party! Impressed with HOTD but really want to see how they take things from here, if it's just more zombie and boobs then it's gonna get boring real fast. Not impressed with Nurarihyon no Mago after episode 1. Reminds me of Kekkaishi, except that was a good show

FLCL is brilliant, Wolf's Rain seemed a bit dull to me based on the first ep.
The manga scan sites are getting hammered by Cease and desists now. It's understandable but it's also annoying. Scanlations are the only viable way of getting manga on my e-book given how pathetic the current selection available to buy digitally is.Comment

I would suggest the box set of Darker than Black, good show.
Just watched Black Rock Shooter OVA and have not a bloody clue what i just watched as nothing is explained, seemed to be just a bunch of random fighting clip inbetween some slice of life school girl show... i can only imagine that it was suppose to show there feels but then w eget that stuff right at the end with the glowing stuff and then the confusing epilogue. So are to expect more OVA's?

What is Strong World? Seen a lot of hype about it. Is it a canon One Piece movie or something? I tend to avoid shonen movies as they're always non-canon and feature no character growth.
Also, when's the Haruhi movie hit blu ray?Comment

Yep, suppose to be main story canon which is why it got a setup up with 2episodes(something about little West Blue) and OVA special (called strong world ep0 i think) based on the 1 off manga strip which was ace, showing alot of the older characters in there heyday during Rogers time and the various people watching Roger death in logtown like young smoker and a thin younger Moria to name a few.
Without having watched it yet i don't know if it set just before crew got split up or when they reunited(which is coming inthe manga soon)Comment
