Haruhi ep... er probably 23..

they got Kyon's anger over pretty well and came off better than the books for once, a fast episode packed full of story development. And i for one was certainly hoping he'd slap her silly for crossing the line, to bad i knew he wouldn't be allowed to go through with it.

Bakemonogatari ep9 - new story arc, again strangely having little Senjougahara again and still focusing on Kanbaru which i don't mind as it speak volumes of the likable characters in the show.

Topless girl aside, the reaction shot from Araragi and Kanbaru gave me a spit take, and Araragi trying to cheer her up along with trying to stop Kanbaru from finding his porn stash... wonder what his festish is, as i always like it when Kanbaru teases that she could do that easily

Just finished watching Doraemon the movie: Nobita & the green giant, what a lovely film. I have played the game sharing the same name but until now i never got to see the film. I finally found an english subbed version on the net, quality wasn't too hot but it was nice to see it.

Kind of makes me sad that most of the west will never get to know the world of doraemon.

Been a while since the last post, the new season is getting closer and shows are close to or have ended.

Aoi Hana ep11/end - pretty much an none ending as you could get, about the only thing that got resolved was fumi and the tomboy's relationship having an unexpectly realistic ending for an anime. Enjoyed it overall but could have done we bit more of that dark edge hinted at in the begining, and kind of at the end with the postcard. At least its open to a sequel and i wouldn't mind seeing if Fumi can turn Akira

Haruhi ep24/end - finished on a high at least, just think we could have had disppearance animated instead of 7 repeats of 1 episode.

i can't see any way for reporter girl to survive this, stuck with a bomb and bleeding to death inthe middle if nowhere...

should make an exciting ending and a rarity for this year, it's well animated.

Phantom ep25 - whatever good will the show built up during the 1st half as been whittling away as the japan arc comes to a close,

1st turing Call into a total nutter, giving her 2/3year absence a 15 year make over and then for the story to stop making sense, sure she was damned angery but could they have just talked her into coming with them... there was certainly no need to kill her. Well im not going drop it with one episode to go, so i hope it redeems itself with this Ein/Zwei vs Phantom Mk4's and scythe's death.

Tokyo Magnitude ep10/11 end - quite the drepessing ending, but they nearly killed of any sympathy built up with ep10 being a horribly sretched out mess. Decent show, ruined by trying to force the drama after all the fun of the earthquake breaking stuff was done.

Still enjoying Bakemonogatari, hayate, Sora no Manimani, Kanamemo and Needless, and looking forward to ending of FMA, Valkyria Chronicles, Spice'n'Wolf, Basquash!(don't ask) and Sea Story.

New season 2 week sold now, i'll start the endings to last season short shows..

Bakemonogatari ep12, is really the last ep, ep13/15 seem to be short web episode based on a extending some seens from previous stories. Last ep was great, senjougahara hadn't been in much since the 1st story was it was great to have he back for a full episode and doing what she does best. The interaction between her dad, senj and Araragi was brilliant, you could feel his embrassment from senjoujahara teasing him and talking dirty., the final scene which played into the ending credits was always a great way to end it and hopefully with the dvd sales riding super high and the cheap produce of the show will get us a second season. 10/10

Valkyria Chronicles ep26, bit of a messy ending that completely lacked the tank.. still the closing credits are good with them showing those that survived returning home, while in places it was better than the original story the ending fell apart and was much better in the game than tv(apart from the stupid flying escape, which im glad was cut)

Spice'n'Wolf s2 ep12 - not so much "just as planned" this time round, but he pretty much got what he wanted deep down,

which is to keep traveling with Horo, decent little excitement with the rebelion going on and the double crossing.

Basquash ep26, i couldn't help but like this stupid show, felt like watching macross, super robots and basketball all in one, the ending was as stupid as it gets with them using GUTS, LOVE and SINGING to save the moon and earth by playing basketball to power up the mystical powered machine by dunking! Great Stuff.

Darker than Black s2 - one of the biggy's for this season, and it started well to with contractor on contractor fighting,

the speedy guy was well ace, just to bad he didn't survive long, same for April who got a hard death... i thought Kei would have let her go but im guessing he can't let on about his location in russia being onthe run from everyone. Wonder if we'll get a leon'esk setting with the pink girl training to be a killer?

Scared Blacksmith ep1/2 - lools very much the art style and animtion to the Tales anime's and Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto from a few years ago(heck the main lead from both are identical). Decent so far, for a swords and sorcery type.

Railgun ep1/2 - index'light so far with plenty of fan service, not sure what the time frame is as Touma is around and being chased by Biribiri so it gotta be between the bridge fight and accelator.

Kampfer ep1/2 - pretty stupid show, boy turns into girl to fight other girls with magic, blades or guns. Art and animation are pretty bad but for some reason i like it, kinder like that terrible pile of crap that was Chaos Head.

Tatakau Shisho ep1 - not sure what went on in this episode, humans are slaves and some other humans but not really humans using powers from books to fight demons... im pretty sure the killcounts going to be high in this show. Im gonna stick with it for now just see where it goes.

Nyan koi ep1/2 - simple show, decent humor so far with the main lead having diss'd a cat god and now he have to help 100 cats or turn into one.

Letter Bee ep1 - Reminded me alot of D grayman, ok so far have see how this child delivery plays out inthe 1st set of episode.

Koboto ep1 - Angel does tasks to collect pain from humans, seems a mixed of slice of life with comedy.

Queens Blade s2 - more of the same, if you avoided last time its best you avoid it again. Still as stupid and still just tits and ass as before.

Kimi ni Todoke ep1 - my fav show so far, scarey looking girl who is misunderstood alot meets a boy, very Honey'n'Clover art, very school slice of life.

Sasameki Koto ep1 - another new lesbo show, much like Aoi Hana last season. 2 childhood friends, ones an out of the closest(Girl A) the other ain't(girl B) but loves girl A but girl A only sees girl B as a best mate and doesn't know shes a lesbo. i like it

Sora no Otoshimono ep1 - another fan service show with a very chobits vibe, robot angel sex pet drops from the sky on to a wussy kid with the power to preform any task, was surpisingly funny for what it is and the wussy kids abuse of power what refreshing fromthe usual stuff like this.

Thanks for the overview Tobal. Been meaning to watch more myself but the combined lack of non-gash subs and Tales of Vesperia have put a massive halt on anime watching for the moment.

im so far behind its not funny. i think my eyes are bigger than my download limit. thankfully railgun is the only new show im really interested in though i may download a few first eps to see if any take my fancy.

Haven't really has anything catch my eye so far this season. Haven't got access to my PC and haven't got the names memorised so you'll have to excuse me.

The DearS meets AMG series could potentially be interesting given how they've made it clear it has unlimited scope. It's a 100&#37; fanservice fest that is incredibly derivative but there are signs they're willing to go further than either of those series so I'll give it another ep or 2 to see if it does anything new.

The school council thing... Only flicked through the raws but it looked like it was riding off the Haruhi bandwagon.

Sacred Blacksmith, aside from the ultra cute girl in the ED, didn't appeal.

Checked out the magical girl series where they put on animal suits... Dear god the op is unbearably cute (despite being called 'poo')

Dear gawd I am waaaay behind on my anime watching, in fact I think for the past two months all i've been watching is One Piece >_< So much catching up to do.

edit: Btw could someone remind me what happened at the end of Index? According to malupdater I have watched it all but i'll be damned if I can rmember what happened. Guessing there wasnt any kind of closure.

not bothered with sunred so far, missed season1 and cos of that had no interest in this new season... might have to download ep1 for go.

School Council thing(Seitokai no Ichizon) was pretty funny, its more riding on the lucky stars style than haruhi as it lots of name dropping and fan service, but did make me laugh a few times mainly due to the main lead being such a perv.

i would say the keep watching ones for me are Darker than Black, Railgun and Kimi ni Todoke. I think Fairy Tail will probably join them when its out to,the rest are decent but nothing special or different.

Cheers, I remembered bits of that episode and was like "that CAN'T have been the last ep? Not with a random character appearing who had very little to do with teh story up to that point" but guess I was wrong

You should check out the first season of Sunred, Tobal. Episodes are only 15 minutes long so you can get through it fairly quickly. It's good stuff.

My list is, as ever, very similar to yours. I've yet to check out Kimi ni Todoke but I've been looking forward to it since checking the manga, which I was sort of getting Bokura ga Ita style vibes from.

I've watched the first Fairy Tail episode. It's almost scene for scene the first chapter of the manga. None of the secret council stuff though. The animation's not brilliant but I suppose they'll be saving the budget for the really big money shots. Character design is reasonably faithful. Aya haters won't have their mind changed by this performance. I don't mind her in most roles so I'm fine with it. Not the Lucy I had pictured in my mind however. Simon from Gurren lagann as Natsu sort of works for me. Rie is Rie but thisworks for me too. I'll probably be following this because I'm reasonably far ahead in the manga so I know what's coming and can just check out my favourite scenes.

If you're talking about Sora no Otoshimono, it does have it's slightly darker edge although it may be entirely lost in the conversion. There's a bit of fighting later which doesn't really skimp on violence against women.

That said, it still really really does love it's fan-service. I liked it in the manga though, they managed to make it funny rather than constantly annoying which is nice. Maybe it was just me.

Watch the first couple of eps of Seitokai no Ichizon last night. Someone mentioned the Haruhi comparisson earlier and I can totally see that but for some reason I still like the series. It ticks some kind of inner nerd box I can't describe.

i decided to give this and Kimi ni Todoke a go purely based on the fact eclipse are subbing them. i know it sounds odd but all of the shows id got from them were either a bit of fun (index) or really really good (fate/stay night, code geass r2, shana, hayate etc). that all changed however after i watched akane iro... still ive forgiven them a bit now ive calmed down, i figure the show was worth it for the few really funny bits and rie kugimiya. still ill be watching a couple of episodes before i commit to getting a whole series now.

watched ep 2 of Sora no Otoshimono and enjopyed it. Complete rubbish but the whole flying panties thing was lollersome. Think I'll follow it.
