For Tobal and anyone else interested, the last chapter of Aria has finally been translated bringing the manga to a close despite it finishing a few years back.

If you're a fan of the series I heartily recommend it as the manga offers another chance to revisit it with slight differences that make it all worthwhile.

If you're after a link for the series I couldn't tell you where to find it especially not if you type /AriaFag after mediafire.com.

Now I have to make do with Amanchu once a month.

Had the link for a while but have never gotten around to getting any of it (in fact i forgot i even had it), will do something about it soon incase it disappears, plus i need some else to read with the major 3 shounens on a lull(which for bleach is almost permanent), gantz turning to sh!t along with Claymore and negima, Berserk is MIA, Air Gear gone completely batsh!t insane leaving only HunterXHunter holding the fort. Any suggestions for new stuff?

Now for the shows.

K-on!! - ep5/6 are briliant and turned into a mini sleep over show, had to laugh at them talking during lights out, just watched ep7 which was alitte weird with Mio fan club turning up out the blue.. don't remember them at all from season1, still Ritsu took every chance to embarrass Mio which got a few laughs out of me.

Working!! ep2-7, not mentioned much about this but im enjoying it alot, great opening and some great characters and it quites open about who loves who to, not the usual romcom stuff in anime of nobody finding out anything till the last episode.

Durarara ep 16-18 - wow, that certainly makes wimpest 3 characters the main stars now,

Anri turning out to the Staker, Kida is the shogun and Mikado which found out much earlier to be the leader of the Dollar and now there all sworn enemies of each other without knowing it(until ep18 now Anri knows Kida runs the Yellows), intereting to see who Isya intends to make thing blow up harder

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou - Light Green > all , still watching Angel beats(main guys past wasn't that bad afterall, was expecting something more...), Arakawa, Giant Killing, Kaichou wa Maid-sama and B Gata H Kei.

I tend to wait a month or two before catching up with shonen titles. Far better to read 100+ pages at once that to wait every week for 18pages. Need to catch up with Negima at some point.

Only other manga I'm really following are Super Dreadnought Girl 4946 and Nana to Kaoru. Wish Happy Negative Marriage would go to being fortnightly but then, the guy is doing three series at the same time, all with nice art.

B Gata H Kei remains incredibly charming despite being fairly crude.

Looking forward to the DVD special of Sora No Otoshimono (and S2)

No need to worry about the series disappearing as the mediafire account is mine which I loaned/gave to the ACS team. So if any of it drops, give us a shout and I can re-up it.

As for suggestions, Amanchu is obviously top of my list since it's more of the Aria goodness. Nurarihyon no Mago (which is getting an anime in the Summer) is passable enough enjoyment for a weekly series.

There's also Beelzebub which I've neglected for a bit myself but the first chapters were entertaining.

The World God Only Knows continues really strong despite it trying to shoehorn a larger plot idea into the story. Looking forward to seeing how the anime conversion goes with the announcement that the character design is the same one that worked on Bakemonogatari.

Other than that, I'm low on suggestions myself.

Anybody got anything on the quality of the cheap completed series dvd boxsets play.com have up recently, im pretty tempted to get Darker than Black(s1) and Haruhi(s1) collections.

Summer anime



Highschool of the dead will be worth checking out given its popularity. Think it follows the Seinen trend of being needlessly cruel at times though.

Mitsudomoe looked to have great animation from the TAF trailer so I'll check that out. Praying it won't end up being pedobait.

Other than that, the season looks a bit bland. Hopefully one of the unknown series will turn out ok.

Rewatched Eva 1.11 yesterday in preparation for 2.22. After previously only seeing 1.0 its looks even better in full 1080p.

And well i watched Eva 2.22 tonight. . . HOLY ****. It was absolutely brilliant and completely mental. Art and animation was even better than 1.(11). Was completely action packed whilst still managing to get some very good quieter character development scenes, despite it covering about 1/2 of the original series. And despite all that it only had a couple of small whiny shinji scenes.

Also i knew they were planning to alter the events of the original series somewhat but i wasn't prepared for what they actually did. :

Swapping Toji for Asuka for the Unit 03 Berserk/Angel part was a master stroke. The fact that they essentially killed her off (one of the main, and loved, characters from the original series), in such a brutal fashion (far more so than i remember the original series version being), and the chilling final plug crunching, with the faint scream scene was really well executed.

Then there was the mental Mari 'Beast' Unit 02 scenes. I thought Mari could have done with abit more development but non the less her final battle scenes were a joy to watch. Was very reminiscent of the Unit 02 vs MP Eva's scene from EoE for me.

And then well there was the whole reworking of the Unit 01 awaking scenes, and with quite a shock it seemed Shinji had finally manned up and accepted his role. This seriously got into EoE territory (not helped by the eva sized rei) with the ascendancy of unit 01 and the impending 3rd impact before rather abruptly being brought to a halt by Kaworu in the Mark 06. I mean after that i don't know what to expect from the remaining 2 films. They've already covered about 3/4 of the series and bits of EoE. Either way i cant wait for the next film, shames its gonna be abit of a wait.

I did the same, rewatched BR of 1.11 and then watched 2.22, very enjoyable.

Mari, didn't really do much or have any development as you say but it was a godo couple of fights she was in, and Shinji manning the f**k up and awakening 01 was brilliant. Have to wonder what the guy at the end says, makes it sound like this is a sequel...

the episode had me laughing all the way through with them getting Sota to crossdress, just wonder if Sota will return or even notice Inami's feelings.

Im not as clued up on my anime as you guys, but ive been really enjoying watching Dragon Ball Kai of late - its another opportunity to watch Dragon Ball Z without the pointless side stories and overly long and pointless sub stories.........

Strange thing is, is that its been noted that there was only really gonna be around 100 episodes, but if that is the case, then where we are at the mo' with Trunks just appearing, it would probably need an additional 100 eps to make it to the Perfect Cell Saga.....

Might hafta check out this Highschool of the Dead that I've heard about thoguh.....

Yeah what he said was quite suspicious, i think it could well be a sequel to End of Eva. Especially as ive just remembered the eva sized outline on the hill (im guessing its from an MP Eva, cant remember if it was seen in 1.11 or 2.22), and the fact the seas are already red (blood/LCL), there's also the blood stain on the moon too. I initially didn't pick up on these being too out of place, until those words at the end. It also makes me wonder if all those coffins seen on the moon were from his previous 'lives' in previous eva cycles and this is actually the 4th or 5th (assuming the original series is the first).

Im aslo loving some of the crazy theories about Mari coming our of 4chan. Like the Fight Club theory that Mari is actually shinji's alter ego. And the theory that Mari is Asuka from a previous eva cycle.

Just shows anno still has it, if he can still generate this level of discussion and crazy theories.

Just finished Eva 1.11 and starting 2.22 BR now. It was released in Japan while I was out there an it seemed rude not to give Anno more of my cash as it was the original series that got me into anime properly in the first place back when ADV did the whole 2 eps per tape dub only stuff.

Ah, happy memories!

It's weird. I keep forgetting how truly incredible Eva is. Everything from art design to music is exemplary. It's nice to see it get the love it deserves in the animation department now too. I loved the while conversations from a distance using still images back in the day when Gainax had run out of cash due to an awesome Angel battle!

Just give me an HD remastered Cowboy Bebop and I'll be a happy bunny.

Speaking of BR in Japan. HOW MUCH!!!??!!! K-On with 2 eps per disc for the best part of &#163;50 at the current exchange rate!!

Went a bit Eva mad out there. Tower Records x Eva 15 year Anniversary stuff, iPhone cover (awesome), shoulder bag. Sweeet!!

as you say, its easy to forget how brilliant, and also just how really ****ed up it is sometimes. love it so much.
