Second season of Genshiken has been announced for the fall season this year . All I need now is for another series of Full Metal Panic to be announced for this year and I will be very content.

These are the links I was pointed to in the thread I read at the animesuki forums.

The guys have been pretty reliable so far, with the news of School Rumble season2 and Aria season2 so I've no reason to doubt them. Plus the manga is still going as far as I know so there should be a fair bit of material to work with. I've been buying it from Amazon myself and currently have up to volume 3 which gets to around about where the first season left off and in Japan the latest release was volume 7 so there's something like 4 volumes worth of stuff.

Likewise, I've got up to volume 3 of the manga myself. Volume 4's due out this month sometime.

I enjoyed the last episode though one part bugged me to high hell: how easily Suzuka was swayed by Honoka's words as they walked home. She was fuming and in more denial than ever before due to Yamato's actions; I just found it really odd how her change of heart came about so quickly, considering they had another one-sided confrontation on the stairs of their apartment complex. With that said though, definitely one of the best series of 2005 and it was from the summer no less!

Agreed. Having just seen it myself it felt kind of forced and the whole thing was over all too quickly. I mean she literally hated him the most at one point in the episode and then a couple of minutes later(obviously within the anime more time would have elapsed) everything's all lovey dovey.

Aside from Yamato being rather stupid, I didn't have that many problems with him overall. For once as a male lead he was actually rather decisive when it mattered and didn't mess about like say Manaka from Ichigo100% and quite a few other male leads from similar animes in the genre, although it did ending up getting him in his fair share of trouble. For me the problem particularly these last few episodes has been with Suzuka and as such I didn't enjoy the episodes as much as say the recent episodes of Shuffle. Though I suspect a lot of that is to do with the fact that in Shuffle I at least got what I wanted with Rin hooking up with Asa, whereas in Suzuka, Yamato didn't get together with Honoka permanently or even with Miki. Both of whom were much more likeable throughout than Suzuka.

Would have liked to have seen more of the athletic side of things as well such as maybe Yamato finally challenging Arima for the number one spot. Given where the series was at episode 25 and having now seen how it's "ended". I reckon they could have done with a few more episodes to pad out Suzuka's change of heart. As mentioned before she goes from the ice queen to lovey dovey all too quickly. That said I thought the last scene was kind of nice and overall I thoroughly enjoyed watching and discussing the series(re: bitching about Suzuka and Yamato).

It probably could have done with "better" lead characters but I suppose then the show wouldn't be what it is now.

Now all we need is for the last shuffle ep to be subbed. I'm dying to know what happens next.

Found this over at another forum I frequent and this is how the Suzuka manga handled the most recent few episodes (fairly major manga spoilers ahead; anybody who's reading or considering it, steer well clear):

"First, what was cut in the anime: Honoka meets Nana at one of her photo shoots, and the cameraman just HAS to take some shots of Honoka because of her looks. Nana supports the idea, but Honoka feels REALLY uneasy about it, so the results were unusable. However, after the shooting, the cameraman catches Honoka unaware, which results in a "whoa!" experience later on.

Honoka learns about the Suzuka-Yamato tryst and linkup "past" episode 26 more or less by chance (while the nightly showdown on the shrine steps TOOK place like this, her "I give up" speech from anime ep26 didn't happen). Dejected and sad, she phones Nana again, who tells her that she should check her mail, which contains the "secret shot". Nana rants on how sugoi it was and how much the photographer wants her to model (to a big degree to cheer Honoka up), but then Honoka makes her decision: If Nana and the photographer think that she has talent to be a model, she wants to try. Nana is so freaked that she almost drops the receiver, but when she realizes that Honoka means it, she supports it.

This part completes her growth. She quits the track club manager position and moves on. Honoka in a private talk to Yamato: "I have yet to find my place, to find what my destiny is, and to learn what I can do to shine like Asahina". She hasn't completely given up on Yamato yet. But she wants to stand on her own feet and find something she can do to gain focus and confidence. Too bad that they removed this part from the anime, even though she still comes over very admirable in the last ep.

About what happens over the next manga chapters: In general, little fairly irrelevant chapters about the troubles of a first relationship. Suzuka remains moody and bitchy, but shows her cute sides more often. Some chapters are actually funny, for example when Yamato approaches Miki with a grave face and asks her if it was okay if he'd call her Miki from now on. Miki: *flush* *dokidoki* Nananananananiiiii?? *wide-eyed tomato mode, but eventually giving in with a highly embarrassed cute facial expression*. Yamato: Whew! Great, thank you!! You know, I was too embarrassed to call Asahina by her first name, so I thought I should rather practice with you. (Miki's punishment was very thorough and painful)

Some medium crises and reconciliations, Asahina off on a training trip, Yasunobu brings around girls, one of them (Yui, pretty nice and smart gal) takes a liking to Yamato, they both go out a bit (while Suzuka is off), major misunderstandings and jealousy, eventually Yamato grows a brain and visits Asahina at her camp, *bitch*, *anger*, *grabs and kisses Yamato, then punches him down full-fist*, *tears*, *helping him up, kisses his cheek during making up* etc etc.

              That's where we are now."

As far as I'm aware there isn't another series. So far all I know is that there is a series of 51 episodes, an OVA which is a recap of the series and a movie.

Thanks Zapp$ter. I was under the impression that there had only been 27 or 28 episodes released so far. Are there more out there? i.e 51 !!

The series finished airing a while ago, not exactly sure when. But yeah there are definitely more episodes subbed and "out there", especially if you've only seen/got up to around episode 27/28.

I'll PM you some more details if you'd like.

                          2 good shows finished

Finally watched Suzuka ep26, enjoyed it and it sounds like there's plenty more story for another season somehwere down the line, enjoyable show overall even with Suzuka over bitchyness and Honoka sinking to the bottom with out a trace. For me Miki FTW!!

                          also Shuffle's last ep ep24,

You just knew he was gonna do something with that crafting knife, and slitting his own wrist is manly way to force Asa is doing what she should be doing, great facial expressions really sold that scene for me. After that it lightned up and we got comedy for the last half and all of it good, if a little creepy from Kaede and co with Rim making some facial expressions. Loved the little afters in the credits, sepecially Kaede/Sia hot lesbo action, take that Rin! I want to another season or at least a couple of OVA's! of Rin getting Asa in the sack and more Kaede/Sia!!!

                            Shuffle 24:

I was a little disappointed by the second half of the episode, it didn't really seem like much had changed, especially between Asa and Rin. Granted, Primula has become a lot more 'normal' in every sense of the word but for me it wasn't really enough. Great series though, especially the second half and I've loved discussing here and on other forums with fans.

                              Shuffle 24:

Played out completely differently to how I was expecting. I was thinking it'd be a case of Asa dieing(sp?) in Rin's arms in that little spot where they first started out. As it is the ending gets a thumbs up from me. Another nice happy ending, although admittedly nothing much changed after all they went through, like Taka said, except for maybe a rather disturbing relationship developing with Primula added to the mix.

Must admit to being a little pissed off that Asa didn't use her magic earlier. I mean whilst Rin was slitting his wrists he brought up a very good point. What would Asa's mum rather see? Asa living as a human or Asa living a good long life. Should never have got to the point where Rin was slitting his wrists, don't see why he did that either IMO. He should have driven the above point home, that her mum would be more hurt if she died. There were very few other things that bothered me in the series like this last bit. That said it was a very enjoyable watch with some fantastic last few episodes.

So far so good then. A few of the Hgame conversions I've seen so far have been pretty decent. Shuffle was very enjoyable and now I just hope Canvas2 doesn't disappoint for the last half. It's been quite good these last few episodes. Lamune as well as been surprisingly good IMO.

                                Shuffle?s end

I never really thought about that, it pretty much ended like Suzuka did with the start of the relationship so I wasn?t really bothered by the lack of Asa/Rin action after crafting knife scene, as in my eye?s I don?t think those two would have any trouble from the rest of girls. If she had listened in the first place there wouldn?t be much drama for the last few eps, even if it seems to go against Asa?s agony aunt way?s. Scans of the manga only seem to have 2 chapters done, I think some of the novels are done, and the H-game translation patch is around 90%.

                                Blood+ 13ep

Those vamp children are still uber creepy, the noise they make is awful. I like this show a lot more than I did in the first 5eps.
