    Thanks for the digest Zap!

I need all the info I can get when looking into new shows. I'm currently watching Planetes as that was my fave manga of all time, but when that runs out I'll need to hunt for more!

Good round up, hadn't even looked at what as coming up.

New Negima not in this next season?

I would add the next .Hack// show(which is a surprise to me), always enjoyed them even if haven't played the games

Some useful sites if you want to check out new shows, particularly the latter which has some synopsis' of the various series' coming soon.

Anyone watched Kyou No Go No Ni yet? The easiest way for me to described it would be a dirtier, more perverted version of Azumanga Daioh. It's set in a school setting and is basically a series of short comedy sketches( 5 in total each lasting about 5 minutes) which are generally unrelated except for the characters that are in them. It's based on a manga by the same name which I believe is available for download. Some of the content is very questionable especially considering the ages of the characters. Still it was very funny IMO

Especially the second and third parts. Who knew collarbones could be so alluring? The third part as well, you could see what was coming from a mile off but I still couldn't help laughing at the scene those guys scene when they open the door, and then Hirakawa running out to one of the girls with tears running down her cheeks saying "I was scared"

I think it's going to be a series of OVAs which means there'll be a release schedule like Gunbuster 2s. Don't know when the next episode will be out but I'm looking forward to it. Oh and I watched The Triad's version, the other versions available as far as I can tell are from new groups and aren't particularly good.

          edit:

As far as I know new negima is due out later on, I'm thinking summer or fall seasons(the latter of which should also have Genshiken 2 so that should be a good season). As for .hack//roots, yeah it's a new 26 episode series airing soon, haven't checked out any of the anime or the games but I will do sooner or later. Like I said there's a lot of stuff I haven't mentioned, for example a new Mecha series from Sunrise(Mai Hime, Gundam Seed) called Zegapain. A couple of interesting looking romance shows, more H-game conversions,etc.. The sites above should give you a good idea of what to expect. There's far too many for me to post about.

Any idea when Disgaea is going to air? Last I heard was some time in April, but knowing my luck I'll miss it then forget about it. Still searching for something to fill the void that Speed Grapher left. Doesn't help the only other anime I watch is no firmly entrenched in filler guff (Naruto and Bleach - so sue me. Actually I just download Naruto, don't even bother to watch it anymore )

Brilliant show, shame about the staggering releases ;_; i think my fav one was 'Sneak Attack', but for pure laughter Collarbones and Gym closet ones come top,

i could believe how close that accidental "Blowjob" looks like it came straight out of a porno!

Eyeshield double ep (39-40) sucked ass, had to skip through it to stay awake.

I think that was one of the worst episodes I've seen to date. To think I was looking forward to it because it was a double episode special, thinking they'd get some action in there. Didn't think they'd waste half of it on a recap ep. At least now hopefully we're setup for a couple of episodes that concentrate on the matches. Personally I want to see those Shinryuuji guys, the ones that are supposed to be better than Shin's team.

edit: scratch what I said earlier about Disgaea. It appears it's starting April 4th.

School Rumble "ep27" - worth getting even if it a april fool, nicely made fan show ^^

Black Cat ep23 - the end.... well i wasn't expecting that to end all in 30mins, they could have easily have dragged it on for 3 more eps as they blinked over EVERY SINGLE FIGHT!! At least it was wrapped up well but still, the fighting really sucked ass.

I did like Creed+women return, and fire girl/blonde guy return to

It's the same thing IMO that happened with the Creed - Train fight. It was just really confusing to watch at times. Still they managed to finish up everything pretty decently and I'm glad the show wasn't 52 episodes long like it was rumoured to be at the start. The nice thing is that they didn't do the typical shounen thing of stretching fights over a couple of episodes and there were very few if any filler episodes. Also from Oyasumi's forums it seems there is another episode on the DVDs, apparently it takes place earlier in the series, around episode 13 or somethng.

                        Fate Stay Night ep13 -

Well Saber's identity should not be in any doubt now. Also Shinji met with a very brutal end. YAY! Possible Archer vs Berserker fight next episode and maybe we'll get some clues as to Archer's identity. The series is now really getting good.

                          FSN ep13 ?

King Arthur the women? well that?s certainly new, as you say Hercules vs Archer(who ever he turns out to be) should be good. I wonder if Shinji?s death will provoke that girl(his sister) into the fight?

                            Mai Otome eps 25 and 26 -

Brilliant final two episodes which wrapped up the series quite nicely, though there's still one or two things left unanswered, which is something I didn't think was possible about 3-4 weeks ago. It didn't feel rushed to me. So many ace moments throughout:
                            - Miss Maria activating her robe (and looking about 30 years younger in the process) and kicking ass, as well as everyone's reactions to her transformation.
                            - Miyu diving down to ancient ruins of Fuuka Academy(the school from Mai Hime) to "activate" the hime star and turn all the otomes into Himes more or less. Nice touch I thought. Does seem like it is a direct sequel and not an AU version as was suggested when it first came out. There's more than enough links to Hime shown throughout.
                            - Nekomimi otome Akane retelling the story of how she was still an otome i.e. they got stopped before they could go all the way.
                            - Shiho with her spiral curse thing and her crazy looking robe.
                            - Natsuki activating her ****ing huge weapon with a nice little homage to Mai Hime "load silver cartridge" etc..
                            - Lesbo Tomoe going mental and finally getting the beating she deserves.
probably some I'm missing as well.

Downsides were really that no main/secondary characters got killed in what was supposed to be a huge battle/war. I wouldn't have minded the good guys surviving but I'd have preferred it if Nagi had been finished off. Which brings me to another downside, Nagi and did not get the beating he deserved and in the end seemed to get off pretty lightly. Would also have liked Nina to get knocked around a bit more although that said I didn't think she was as bad in these two episodes as she has been previously.

The ending is quite a happy one, which is fine with me, and even Nina looks like she's getting what she wanted with Sergay losing his memory. One surprise though was that there was no reset for Erstin, I thought they might bring her back especially as she only vanished with that green light effect.

Thumbs up from me. Very entertaining watch throughout it's run. Very good but for me not as good as Mai Hime. Mai Hime once it got going(which was a lot earlier than Otome) didn't let up until the final few minutes of the final episode. There were so many holy **** moments throughout(cast "dying" left and right for example), loads of twists to the story and in general the pacing was excellent. In Otome on the other hand it did drag a bit in the episodes before Mai made her comeback and overall it was more straightforward, less surprises and/or twists to the story.

Also a 4 episode OVA series for Mai Otome has been announced and is scheduled for July. Given that it's four episodes I'm hoping it's new content and not a recap of the series. It's on animenewsnetwork if you want some evidence.

I burned through Mai-Otome in the last few days. All 26 episodes

I really prefer It to Mai-Hime. The ending for me felt happy, but not too happy. Unlike the ending to Mai-Hime which was sickening.

So yeah. Mai-Otome was great and was probably my favourite show in the past 6 months. Bring on some weird 3rd series seque/alternate universe mai-Heroes or whatever.

Caught a bit of Air Gear yesterday. Boobies.
